What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
A618 ROTHERHAM ROAD, BARLBOROUGH
WHEN: 22nd January 2024 (09:00 to 15:00)
WHERE: A618 Rotherham Road, Barlborough from a point approximately 450metres north of junction with Nitticarhill Road, for a distance of approximately 220metres.
REASON: To facilitate removal of a dying tree, for public safety.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: A618 Rotherham Road; A619 Worksop Road, Chesterfield Road; A616 Oxcroft Way; A6135 Oxcroft Way, Sheffield Road, Main Road, Station Road, Littlemoor; B6053 Rotherham Road; B6058 Station Road, Sheffield Road and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused while work takes place. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190.
The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
