South Street North - Temporary Road Closure

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
SOUTH STREET NORTH,
NEW WHITTINGTON

WHEN: 18th January 2024 (09:30 to 15:30)
WHERE: South Street North, New Whittington between a point 100 metres south of its junction with High Street for a distance of 45 metres in a southerly direction.
REASON: To facilitate manhole cover and frame renewal works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: South Street North (from point of closure), High Street, Wellington Street, Albert Road, South Street North (to point of closure) and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused while work takes place. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190.
The County Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
