A696 PONTELAND ROAD PONTELAND
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intend to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the A696 Ponteland Road from its junction with B6323 to 19 Cheviot View for a length of 1115 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 29th January 2024 until the 27th July 2024.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 29th January 2024 until the 2nd February 2024 between the hours of 19:00 and 01:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 27th July 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the B6323, B6545 and vice-versa.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council for resurfacing works.
In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
