What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
A610, RIPLEY ROAD, AMBERGATE

WHEN: 30th January to 31st January 2024 (23:00 to 06:00)
WHERE: Ripley Road, Ambergate between its junction with A6 Matlock Road and its junction with Station approach.
REASON: To facilitate a Network Rail bridge inspection.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: A610 Ripley Road/ Ladygrove /Chesterfield Road/ Nottingham Road, Hartshay Interchange, B6441 Hartshay Hill, B6374 Cromford Road/ Heage Road / Upper Hartshay / Eagle Street, B6013 New Road / Far Laund,/ Laund Hill / Chesterfield Road, A609 Market Place/ Cheapside, New Road, A6, Chapel Street/ Bridge Street / Matlock Road/ Derby Road, and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused while work takes place. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190.
The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
