ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BRIDLEWAY WHEATHAMPSTEAD 103
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians, horseriders, and cyclists from using that length of Bridleway Wheathampstead 103, heading north toward the junction with The Slype, for an approximate distance of 45m. Alternative Route: no suitable alternative on PROW network. The purpose of the Order is to enable utilities works to take place. The section of Bridleway Wheathampstead 103 will be closed on or after 26 January 2024 for up to 1 day, when signs are in place. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF MILL LANE, WELWYN) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Mill Lane, Welwyn from a point in line with the northern boundary of No.28 Mill Lane south eastwards for a distance of approximately 26m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via Mill Lane, Church Street, High Street, Prospect Place and Mill Lane.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 31 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN DALESIDE DRIVE, POTTERS BAR) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Daleside Drive, Potters Bar from its northernmost junction with Baker Street south eastwards for a distance of approximately 80m ("the Road"), except for access. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. ADDITIONALLY, all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 30 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN POTTERS BAR, WELWYN GARDEN CITY, TEWIN, HATFIELD, LITTLE HEATH, NORTH MYMMS AND BROOKMANS PARK) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of B556 Mutton Lane, Potters Bar from its junction with the service road fronting Nos.288-358 Mutton Lane north westwards for a distance of approximately 557m.
An alternative route will be via B556 Mutton Lane, A1000 (High Street/ Hatfield Road/Great North Road), A1001 (South Way/Roehyde Way), A414 North Orbital Road, A1081 (London Colney Bypass/Bell Link Overbridge) and B556 (Ridge Hill/St Albans Road/Cecil Road/Mutton Lane).
2. that length of Cranborne Road, Potters Bar from its easternmost junction with B556 Mutton Lane north westwards, north eastwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 845m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
3. that length of B1000 Waterside, Welwyn Garden City from its junction with B1000 Hertford Road south westwards to its junction with A1000 Mundells, a distance of approximately 685m.
An alternative route will be via B1000 (Hertford Road/Welwyn Road), A119 (North Road/Cross Lane), A414 (Hertingfordbury Road/Cole Green Bypass), B195 (Birchall Lane/Cole Green Lane/Black Fan Road), A1000 Mundells and B1000 Waterside.
4. that length of B1000 Hertford Road, Tewin from its junction with Churchfield Road north westwards to its junction with B1000 Waterside, a distance of approximately 409m.
An alternative route will be via B1000 (Hertford Road/Welwyn Road), A119 (North Road/Cross Lane), A414 (Hertingfordbury Road/Cole Green Bypass), B195 (Birchall Lane/Cole Green Lane/Black Fan Road), A1000 Mundells and B1000 Waterside.
5. that length of Hertford Road, Tewin from its junction with B1000 Waterside north westwards for a distance of approximately 200m.
An alternative route will be via B1000 Waterside, A1000 (Mundells/Bessemer Road) and Hertford Road.
6. that length of Poplars, Welwyn Garden City from its junction with Moors Walk south westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
7. that length of Woodcot Lane, Welwyn Garden City from its junction with Ridgeway north eastwards, north westwards and south eastwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
8. that length of St Peters Close, Hatfield from its junction with St Albans Road West north westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
9. the road situated to the rear of 'Hatfield Swim Centre', Hatfield from its junction with St Albans Road West north eastwards for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
10. that length of St Albans Road West, Hatfield from its junction with B6426 Cavendish Road north westwards to its junction with Pond Croft, a distance of approximately 110m.
An alternative route will be via B6426 Cavendish Road, Lemsford Road, Fiddlebridge Lane and St Albans Road West.
11. that length of Hawkshead Road, Little Heath/Hawkshead Lane,
North Mymms from its junction with North Mymms Public Footpath No.013 north westwards for a distance of approximately 704m. An alternative route will be via Hawkshead Road, A1000 Great North Road, Dixons Hill Road, Swanland Road and Hawkshead Lane.
12. that length of Bluebridge Road, Brookmans Park from its junction with Hawkshead Lane north westwards for a distance of approximately 445m. An alternative route will be via Hawkshead Lane, Swanland Road, Dixons Hill Road, Station Road, Bradmore Green and Bluebridge Road or via Hawkshead Road, A1000 Great North Road, Dixons Hill Road, Station Road, Bradmore Green and Bluebridge Road.
13. that length of Hall Grove, Welwyn Garden City from its junction with Beehive Lane north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with Howlands, a distance of approximately 382m.
An alternative route will be via Beehive Lane, Cole Green Lane and Howlands.
14. that length of Oldings Corner, Hatfield from its northernmost junction with A414 Great North Road south westwards, north westwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 240m.
An alternative route will be via A414 Great North Road.
15. that length of Digswell Road, Welwyn Garden City from its junction with the Knightsfield roundabout north eastwards and north westwards to its junctions with A1000 Bessemer Road, a distance of approximately 716m. An alternative route will be via Digswell Road, B195 (The Campus Roundabout/The Campus/Bridge Road), A1000 (Bessemer Road/Mundells/ Bessemer Road) and Digswell Road or via Digswell Road, A1000 (Bessemer Road/Mundells/Bessemer Road), B195 (Bridge Road/The Campus Roundabout) and Digswell Road.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 29 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads. (TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN A1000 GREAT NORTH ROAD, LITTLE HEATH) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A1000 Great North Road, Little Heath from its junction with Thornton Road north eastwards to its junction with Hawkshead Road, a distance of approximately 45m ("the Road"). An alternative route will be via A1000 Great North Road, B157 (Shepherds Way/ The Ridgeway/East Ridgeway/Plough Hill), B156 (Northaw Road East/ Northaw Road West/Judges Hill/Coopers Lane/The Causeway) and A1000 (High Street/Hatfield Road/Great North Road). ADDITIONALLY, all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF COOPERS GREEN LANE, HATFIELD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Coopers Green Lane, Hatfield from its junction with Hatfield Avenue north eastwards to its junction with the Green Lanes roundabout, a distance of approximately 1371m ("the Road"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Hatfield Avenue, A1001 Comet Way, A6129 Stanborough Road, B653 Stanborough Road and Coopers Green Lane. The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing utility pole is proposed to be executed near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 26 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. A copy of the proposed Order may be inspected free of charge at County Hall, Hertford between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm (excluding weekends, bank and public holidays).

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Howlands, Welwyn Garden City from its junction with Golden Dell north eastwards for a distance of approximately 39m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via Howlands, A1000 Chequers, Ascots Lane and Howlands.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 27 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath fronting Nos.63-80 Lodgefield, Welwyn Garden City from its junction with Lodgefield south westwards, south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Knightsfield, a distance of approximately 99m ("the Footpath"). An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the south and east sides of Lodgefield and the footway situated on the north side of Knightsfield. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath.

An alternative route will be via London Road, B197 Welwyn Bypass Road, A1000 (Welwyn Bypass Road/Hertford Road), Hertford Road and Prospect Place.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians, pedal cycles and equestrian users from using Welwyn Garden City Public Bridleway No.062 from its junction with Dalewood north eastwards for a distance of approximately 36m ("the Public Bridleway"). There is no alternative route available for pedestrians, pedal cycles and equestrian users when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian, pedal cycle and equestrian user access to properties along this Public Bridleway will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Public Bridleway.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 15 January 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Public Bridleway. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS FOOTPATHS IN WELWYN GARDEN CITY) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the following lengths of footpath ("the Footpaths"):-
1. the footpath fronting Nos.43-51 Tansycroft and Nos.10-16 Hornsfield, Welwyn Garden City from a point in line with the western boundary of No.51 Tansycroft south eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 57m.
An alternative route will be via the footpath fronting Nos.52-55 Tansycroft, the footway situated on the south side of Tansycroft, the footway situated on the north east side of Hazel Grove, the footway situated on the north side of Bakers Grove, the footway situated on the west side of Millfield and the footpath situated on the north side of No.21 Hornsfield and No.8 Millfield.
2. the footpath situated on the north side of No.21 Hornsfield and No.8 Millfield, Welwyn Garden City from its junction with Hornsfield south eastwards for a distance of approximately 60m.
An alternative route will be via the footway on the east side of Hornsfield, the footway situated on the north side of Bakers Grove and the footway situated on the west side of Millfield.
3. the footpath fronting Nos.10-18 Millfield, Welwyn Garden City from a point 8m north west of its junction with Millfield north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 45m. An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the west and north sides of Millfield and the footpath situated on the north side of No.21 Hornsfield and No.8 Millfield.
4. the footpath fronting Nos.1-9 Hornsfield, Welwyn Garden City from a point 70 m north east of its junction with Bakers Grove north westwards, south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 24m.
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the east side of Hornsfield, the footway situated on the north side Bakers Grove, the footway situated on the north east side of Hazel Grove, the footway situated on the south side of Tansycroft and the footpath fronting Nos.52-55 Tansycroft or via the footway situated on the east side of Hornsfield, the footway situated on the north side of Bakers Grove, the footway situated on the east side of Millfield and the footpath situated on the north side of No.21 Hornsfield
and No.8 Millfield.
5. the footpath fronting Nos.1-9 Millfield, Welwyn Garden City from a point 80m north east of its junction with Bakers Grove north westwards for a distance of approximately 5m.
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north side of Millfield and the footpath fronting Nos.10-18 Millfield. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpaths.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 15 January 2024 for a period of up to 6 months.
