What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

East Hendred, Featherbed Lane Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 02/01/2024 Coming into force: 11/01/2024

This Order is being introduced because of underground cabling works which are anticipated to be completed 20 January 2024. Works will operate between 09:30hrs and 15:30 hours.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in Featherbed Lane. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via the A4130, A417, Featherbed Lane and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T12795/AC)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Faringdon, Coach Lane Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 08/01/2024 Coming into force: 15/01/2024

This Order is being introduced because of new connection and major network upgrades works which are anticipated to be completed 21 January 2024. This is a 24 hour road closure.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the whole length of Coach Lane. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for police, fire and ambulance services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic affected by the closure is via London Road, Market Place, Church Street. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T12840/AC)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Tiddington, Ickford Road Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 08/01/2024 Coming into force: 16/01/2024

This Order is being introduced because of water mains renewals and associated works which are anticipated to be completed 2 February 2024. This is a 24 hour road closure.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in Ickford Road north of its junction with the A418 Oxford Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via the A418, Mill Road, Ickford Road, Unnamed towards Sheldon Road, Sheldon Road, Bridge Road, Ickford Road and vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T12801/AC)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Radley, Footpath No.326/3 Closure Date of Order: 24/06/2019 Came into force: 01/07/2019 This Order was introduced because of housing development which is now anticipated to be completed in 31 July 2025.

The effect of the Order is to close temporarily Footpath No.326/3 between Kennington Road and Sanford Lane (opposite Sugworth Crescent). Appropriate signs are displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works. The diversion route is around the south and east sides of the construction site. With the Consent of The Secretary of State for Transport this order will continue in force until 31 July 2025, or until the works are completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T6635/RAG)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Thame, Wellington Street Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 08/01/2024 Coming into force: 15/01/2024

This Order is being introduced to construct new zebra crossing and road surfacing works that is anticipated to take 3 weeks to complete.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit vehicles proceeding in the section of Wellington Street. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. Traffic will be diverted via Wellington Street - B4445 - East Street - Wellington Street and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T12617/MR)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Fyfield and Tubney - footpath 19 (221/19/10) and Longworth-footpath 22 (288/22/1) Closure: 21/12/2023 Date of Order: 08/01/2024 Coming into force: 11/01/2024

This Order continues in force a closure by emergency notice and is being introduced because of safety concerns over a footbridge requiring repairs. The completion date is currently unknown due to financial prioritising needs.

The effect of the Order is to close temporarily the whole section of the footpath Nos. 19 (221/19/10) and 22 (288/22/1) that lead to the bridge. Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for emergency services, for Works and for pedestrian access to premises which are only accessible from the closed sections of footpath. The alternative route will be signed via the parallel Thames Path. (Ref: T13223/RAG)
