The Surrey County Council Various Roads in Hindhead and Haslemere Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2024
On 10 January 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of A287 Hindhead Road, B2131 Hindhead Road, B3131 Junction Place and B2131 Lion Green, Hindhead and Haslemere, that extends from the junction with D5534 London Road, A333 Portsmouth Road and A287 Tilford Road, to the junction with B2131 Wey Hill. This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out highway dressing and/or patching and/or resurfacing and/ or maintenance and/or improvement works.These works are anticipated to be carried out in phases within the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 22 January 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative route:- Southbound – A287 Hindhead Road, A287 Tilford Road, A287 Churt Road, A287 Crossways, A287 Gong Hill, A287 Frensham Road, A287 Firgrove Hill, A287 Bridge Square, A287 Long Bridge, A287 Downing Street, A325 The Borough, A325 Bear Lane, A325 Woolmead Road, A325 East Street, A325 Guildford Road, Shepherd and Flock RA, A31 Guildford Road, A31 Hogs Back, A31 Farnham Road, Bridge Street, Onslow Street, Friary Bridge, Park Street, A3100 Portsmouth Road,A3100 Old Portsmouth Road,A3100 Guildford Road,A3100 Meadrow,A3100 Bridge Street,A3100 Wharf Road, A3100 Flambard Way, A3100 Ockford Road, A3100 Portsmouth Road,A286 Church Road,A286 Haslemere Road,A286 Grayswood Road,A286 High Street, B2131 Lower Street and B2131 Wey Hill. HGVs travelling on Frensham Road to use Great Austins, Menin Way, Waverley Road, Station Hill, South Street and follow diversion to avoid 7.5t weight limit on Firgrove Hill (same in reverse). Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. A325 Farnborough Road, Farnham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024 Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of A325 Farnborough Road, Farnham that extends from its junction with A3016 Upper Hale Road, to the boundary of Surrey County Council with Hampshire County Council. This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out highway dressing and/or resurfacing and/or improvement and/or maintenance and/or footway works. These works are anticipated to be carried out within 5 days of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 27 January 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.Access for emergency services, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative route:-A325 Farnborough Road, A3011 Lynchford Road, A331 Blackwater Valley Road, A31 Runfold Diversion, A31 Shepherd and Flock Roundabout, A325 Farnborough Road and A325 Hale Road. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Grayswood Road (A286) Grayswood and Haslemere Road (A286) Brook Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024 Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Grayswood Road (A286) Grayswood as extends from its junction with (D154) Lower Road to its junction with (A286) Haslemere Road; and (b) Haslemere Road (A286) Brook as extends from its junction with (A286) Grayswood Road to its junction with (D137) Park Lane. Alternative Route: (A286) Grayswood Road, (A286) High Street, (B2131) Petworth Road, (B2131) Rodgate Lane, (A283) Petworth Road, (A283) Cherry Tree Roundabout, and (A286) Haslemere Road or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate highways improvement works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible between the hours of 6.30pm and 6.30am, during the 12- month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 February 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed; and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
