NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(SUTTON IN ASHFIELD UNRECORDED FOOTPATH SOUTH OF LIMETREE AVENUE TO EAST OF ST ANDREWS STREET)
EXTINGUISHMENT ORDER 2023

On 13th December 2023 the Nottinghamshire County Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 118 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the Order as confirmed is to extinguish the public right of way running from a point, SK 4892 6062, south of the southern end of Limetree Avenue, Sutton in Ashfield at the junction with the remainder of the unrecorded path and proceeding for a distance of approximately 300 metres in a generally north easterly direction to a point, SK 4919 6074, east of the southern end of St Andrews Street, Sutton in Ashfield at the junction with the remainder of the unrecorded path as shown on the order map.

A copy of the Order as confirmed and the Order Map may be seen free of charge at County Hall reception at the address below between the hours of 9.00 am and 4.30 pm Mondays to Fridays until 7th February 2024. The documents will also be available for inspection at Sutton in Ashfield Library, The Idlewells Precinct, Sutton in Ashfield, NG17 1BP and Ashfield District Council Offices, Urban Road, Kirkby in Ashfield Nottinghamshire NG17 8DA during the respective opening hours until 7th February 2024. Copies of the Order and Map may be purchased from my Office at the address below at a cost of £5 per copy. The Order came into force on 13th December 2023, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act, as amended, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under Paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by Paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 10th January 2024, make an application for the purpose to the High Court.
