What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

SECTION 14(1)

(LONG LANE, TODDINGTON)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Long Lane, Toddington outside Long Lane Farm.

This temporary closure is required to enable electricity connection works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 29 to 31 January 2024 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Park Road, B5120, A5120, C107, High Street, Long Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 29 January 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

(LEIGHTON ROAD, TODDINGTON)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Leighton Road, Toddington outside number 101.

This temporary closure is required to enable various water mains works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 29 January to 9 February 2024 and 21 February to 1 March 2024. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via B5120, A5, Hockliffe Road, Toddington Road, Leighton Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 29 January 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

(BYSLIPS ROAD, STUDHAM)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Byslips Road, Studham between Oldhill Wood and Kensworth Road.

This temporary closure is required to enable telegraph pole works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place on

30 January 2024 between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Buckwood Lane, Dunstable Road, Clements End Road, Byslips Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 30 January 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(SEWELL LANE, HOUGHTON REGIS)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full length of Sewell Lane, Houghton Regis.

This temporary closure is required to enable surface dressing and lining works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 29 January to 2 February 2024 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

There is no alternative route for this closure. The Order will come into operation on 29 January 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(SHARPENHOE ROAD, SHARPENHOE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Sharpenhoe Road, Sharpenhoe between Priory Farm and Hill View.

This temporary closure is required to enable pole testing works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place on

17 January 2024 between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Sharpenhoe Road, Church Road, Barton Hill Road, Streatley Road, Lilley Road, Barton Road, Hexton Road, Bedford Road, Sharpenhoe Road, Barton Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 17 January 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(TITHE FARM ROAD, HOUGHTON REGIS)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Tithe Farm Road, Houghton Regis outside the Tithe Farm Recreation Ground.

This temporary closure is required to enable water connection works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 16 to 19 January 2024. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Tithe Farm Road, High Street, The Green, East End, Sundon Road, Hillborough Crescent, and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 16 January 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(PEDLEY HILL, STUDHAM)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Pedley Hill, Studham at its junction with B440.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 15 to 19 January 2024 between the hours of 9am and 3pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Pedley Hill, Clements End Road, Dunstable Road, B4540, Dagnall Road, B4506, B440 and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 15 January 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
