Ashford, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

ASHFORD AREA

Ashford Road, Bilsington.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JANUARY 2024

To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Ashford Road, Bilsington, on or after 15th January 2024, for up to 5 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Bliby Lodge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Chequer Tree Farm Road, Frith Road, Ashford Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Benenden Road, Biddenden, TN27 8BX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JANUARY 2024

To allow overhead structure works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Benenden Road, Biddenden, on or after 29th January 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Tenterden Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Tenterden Road, Biddenden Road, High Halden Lane, Ashford Road, Grange Road, Silver Hill, Beacon Oak Road, East Cross, High Street, West Cross, Rolvenden Road, Cranbrook Road, Benenden Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Bethersden Road, Hothfield.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JANUARY 2024

To allow drainage jetting works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bethersden Road, Hothfield, on or after 21st January 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 06.00 and 18.00,  or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the railway bridge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Bethersden Road, Fridd Lane, Pluckley Road, End Of Pluckley Road At River Beult To Chambers Green Road, Station Approach, Station Road, Dowle Street Road, Sparrow Hatch Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Church Lane, Aldington.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Church Lane, Aldington, on or after 2nd February 2024, with estimated completion by 5th February 2024, between the hours of 09.00 and 16.00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Kent Rag, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Church Lane, Roman Road, Goldwell Lane, Station Road, Evegate Mill Lane, Hythe Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Cripple Hill, High Halden, TN26 3HZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Cripple Hill, High Halden, on or after 2nd February 2024, with estimated completion by 5th February 2024, between the hours of 09.00 and 16.00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Ramstile Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Cripple Hill, Thurstons Lane, Harris Lane, High Halden Lane, Biddenden Road, Ashford Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Faversham Road, Charing, TN27 0NS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JANUARY 2024

To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Faversham Road, Charing, on or after 29th January 2024, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Woodacre, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Canterbury Road, Faversham Road, Ashford Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Hampton Lane, Brabourne, TN25 5PN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JANUARY 2024

To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Hampton Lane, Brabourne, on or after 15th January 2024, for up to 5 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Beddlestone Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Brabourne Road, The Street, Spelders Hill, Nats Lane, Hinxhill Road From Junction With Goodcheap Lane To Nackolt Road, Plumpton and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Hareplain Road, Biddenden, TN27 8EZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Hareplain Road, Biddenden, on or after 1st February 2024, for up to 5 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Magnolia, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Sissinghurst Road, High Street, North Street, Headcorn Road, Weeks Lane, Frittenden Road, Hareplain Road and vice versa

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Mystole Lane, Chilham, CT4 8EB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JANUARY 2024

To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Mystole Lane, Chilham, from 23.00 hours on 15th January 2024, with estimated completion by 05.00 hours on 16th January 2024, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the level crossing, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Canterbury Road, Shalmsford Street, Chartham Downs Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

New Road, Egerton, TN27 9DH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow underground structure works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of New Road, Egerton, on or after 1st February 2024, for up to 2 days, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

New Road will be closed between Elm Close (known locally as New Road) and Stevens Close, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

These works will be in conjunction with multi-way lights on Stisted Way, Rock Hill Road, The Street & New Road.

The alternative route is via Rock Hill Road, Mundy Bois Road, Mundy Bois Road Junction With Pinnock Road To Junction With Green Hill Lane, The Pinnock, Smarden Road, Forge Hill, Egerton Road, New Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Pixs Lane, Rolvenden, TN17 4AZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on Pixs Lane, Rolvenden, from 2nd February 2024, with estimated completion by 5th February 2024, between the hours of 09.00 and 16.00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Mounts Lane and Maytham Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Maytham Road, Freizingham Lane, Winser Road, Mounts Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Wye Road, Boughton Aluph, TN25 4HY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JANUARY 2024

To allow new connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Wye Road, Boughton Aluph, on or after 29th January 2024, with estimated completion by 6th February 2024, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Prospect Cottages, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Wye Road, Faversham Road, White Hill, Canterbury Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
