ROCHESTER RIVERSIDE CONTROLLED PARKING ZONE (PHASE 3)
NOTICE OF MAKING
The Medway Council (Rochester Riverside) (Parking Places and Waiting Restrictions) order 2023 1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Medway Council on 8 January 2024 made the abovementioned order under sections 1, 2, 32, 35, 37, 45, 46, 49 and 51 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The general effect of the order, which comes into operation on 15 January 2024, will be to: (a) introduce No Waiting at any time in roads described in Part 1 to this notice; (b) introduce parking for R1 permit holders and time-limited parking in the Parking Places described in Part 2 to this notice; (c) introduce parking for R1 permit holders in the Parking Places described in Part 3 to this notice; (d) provide that those residents who live at an address specified in Part 4 to this notice will be eligible for a resident’s permit and/or visitor’s permits to park in the Rochester Riverside Controlled Parking Zone R1.
3. Copies of the order and of other documents giving more detailed particulars of the order can be requested by sending an email to parkingdesign@medway.gov.uk or by writing to Parking Design team, Medway Council, Gun Wharf, Dock Road, Chatham, ME4 4TR before the end of a period of six weeks from the date on which the order was made.
4. Persons wishing to question the validity of the order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirement of the act or any instrument made under the act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the above date on which the order was made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.

GODDINGTON ROAD, STROOD (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable electricity supply works to be carried out -
Goddington Road, Strood - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of the UKPN Sub-station. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Goddington Road, Frindsbury Road, Mill Road and Hillside Avenie.
This order will come into force on Monday, 12 February 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 12 February 2024 and are programmed for completion within one day(stripping out old equipment) and again on 26 February for one day (installing the new equipment). The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

HEMPSTEAD ROAD, GILLINGHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable electricity supply works to be carried out -
Hempstead Road, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontages of 320 and 336 Hempstead Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Chapel Lane and Hempstead Valley Drive.
This order will come into force on Monday, 22 January 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 22 January 2024 and are programmed for completion within one week. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

HIGH STREET, ROCHESTER (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic enable engineers to build new joint box and lay approx 11m of duct -
High Street, Rochester - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between the junction with Furrels Road and to a point 40 metres north-westwards therefrom. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Manor Road, New Road and Star Hill.
This order will come into force on Monday, 12 February 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 12 February 2024 and are programmed for completion within four days. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

PARK AVENUE, GILLINGHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable gas main replacement works to be carried out -
Park Avenue, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between the junction with Seaton Road and the junction with Stuart Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Canterbury Street and Oxford Road.
This order will come into force on Monday, 22 January 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 22 January 2024 and are programmed for completion within three weeks. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

MAIDSTONE ROAD, ROCHESTER (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable a failing telephone pole to be removed and replaced -
Maidstone Road, Rochester - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontages of 383 and 385 Maidstone Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be provided and signed via Hawser Road and The Tideway.
This order will come into force on Tuesday, 13 February 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Tuesday, 13 February 2024 and are programmed for completion within 2 days. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

CHATHAM (PARKING PLACES AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO.30) ORDER 2024 NOTICE OF PROPOSAL
Brisbane Road, Chatham ME4 5PE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Medway Council proposes to make the above-mentioned order under sections 1, 2, 32, 35, 45, 46, and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
The general effect of the Amendment order will be to formally authorise the disabled parking bay south-west of No.21 Brisbane Road, Chatham, adjacent to Gurudwara.
Any objections or other representations about the proposed order should be sent in writing by email to TROconsult@medway.gov.uk or by post to Parking Design Team at the address specified in the paragraph below or by Friday, 2 February 2024 stating name, address and grounds for objection or support.
