STROOD (WAITING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO.19) ORDER 2023 NOTICE OF MAKING
Beech Road, Cedar Road, Copperhouse Road, Glamford Road, Hawthorn Road, Maple Road, Merrals Wood Road, Parkfields, Rushdean Road, The Spires, Wells Road
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Medway Council on 8 January 2024 made the abovementioned order under sections 1, 2 and 4 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The general effect of the Amendment order, which comes into effect on 15 January 2024, will be to introduce lengths of No Waiting (single and/or double yellow lines) in roads within Strood areas as detailed:
1) Beech Road – (a) North side, 11.5m westwards and 9m eastwards from Maple Road junction; (b) South side, 12m westwards and 9m eastwards from Maple Road junction;
2) Cedar Road – North side, 6m westwards and 10.3m eastwards from Maple Road junction;
3) Copperhouse Road – (a) North side, 12m eastwards from Parkfields junction; (b) South side, 10m eastwards from Parkfields junction;
4) Glamford Road – (a) West side, 12.5m northwards from Merrals Wood Road junction; (b) East side, 10.5m northwards from Merrals Wood Road junction;
5) Hawthorn Road – (a) North side, 7m westwards and 7.8m eastwards from Maple Road junction; (b) South side, 7.8m westwards and 8.4m eastwards from Maple Road junction;
6) Maple Road – (a) West side, (i) 10m northwards and 12.5m southwards from Beech Road junction; (ii) 15m northwards and 14m southwards from Hawthorn Road junction; (iii) 11m northwards from Cedar Road junction; (b) East side, (i) 10.2m northwards and 12m southwards from Beech Road junction; (ii) 12m northwards and 12.6m southwards from Hawthorn Road junction; (iii) 16m northwards from Cedar Road junction;
7) Merrals Wood Road – (a) South side, (i) outside Nos.27 & 29 (part), 14.2m single yellow line operating Mon-Sat 9am-6pm; (ii) outside Nos.15 (part) & 17, 16m single yellow line operating Mon-Sat 9am-6pm; (b) North side, (i) 13.5m westwards and 9.5m eastwards from Glamford Road junction; (ii) 10m westwards and 10m eastwards from Wells Road junction;
8) Parkfields – (a) North-east side, 7.7m north-westwards from Copperhouse Road junction; (b) South-east side, 4m south-westwards from Copperhouse Road junction;
9) Rushdean Road – (a) West side, (i) outside odd Nos.203-209 inclusive, 18m single yellow line operating Mon-Sat 9am-6pm; (ii) 6m northwards from The Spires junction; (b) East side, 10.5m northwards and 13m southwards from Wells Road junction;
10) The Spires – North side, 6m westwards from Rushdean Road junction;
11) Wells Road – (a) North-east side, 6.5m south-eastwards from Rushdean Road junction; (b) South-east side, 19.7m north-eastwards from Rushdean Road junction; (c) West side, 10.5m northwards from Merrals Wood Road junction; (d) East side, 14m northwards from Merrals Wood Road junction.
Copies of the order and of other documents giving more detailed particulars of the order can be requested by sending an email to parkingdesign@medway.gov.uk or by writing to Parking Design team, Medway Council, Gun Wharf, Dock Road, Chatham, ME4 4TR before the end of a period of six weeks from the date on which the order was made.
Persons wishing to question the validity of the order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirement of the Act or any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the above date on which the order was made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.

MILTON ROAD, GILLINGHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable electricity supply works to be carried out -
Milton Road, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 27 Milton Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via St Johns Road, Rock Avenue and Byron Road.
This order will come into force on Monday, 12 February 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 12 February 2024 and are programmed for completion within five days. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

HIGH STREET, CHATHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable water supply works to be carried out -
High Street, Chatham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 62 High Street. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Star Hill, New Road and Manor Road.
This order will come into force on Monday, 12 February 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 12 February 2024 and are programmed for completion within five days. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

Changes to existing single yellow line, double yellow lines and parking bays
17) Barnsole Road – North-east side, convert the existing single yellow line between Gillingham Road and Livingstone Road to double yellow lines;
18) Livingstone Road – Within the dead-end section by Barnsole Road, west of No.2, convert the existing single yellow line to double yellow lines;
19) Kingswood Road – North-east side, reduce the double yellow lines by 4m opposite the junction of East Street and extend the parking bay in their place.
20) Mill Road – East side, remove the single yellow line outside Nos.27, 28 & 29 and replace by extending the adjacent permit parking bays operating Mon-Sun 8am-10pm;
21) Osprey Avenue – South side, reduce the existing double yellow lines by 2.5m, rear of No.8 Darland Ave;
22) Parr Avenue – South side, reduce the double yellow lines by 5m alongside No.2 Rosebery Road and extend the parking bay in their place.

COOLING ROAD, ROCHESTER (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable drainage works to be undertaken -
Cooling Road, Rochester - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 30 Cooling Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Hollywood Lane, Wulfere Way, Frindsbury Hill and Bill Street Road.
This order will come into force on Monday, 12 February 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 12 February 2024 and are programmed for completion within five days. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Medway Council proposes to make the above-mentioned order under sections 1, 2, 45, 46, 53 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
The general effect of the amendment order will be to adjust the parking bay from outside The Chapel to No.106 Beresford Road, Gillingham, to accommodate dropped kerbs and vehicle crossings, for driveway access.
