M20 MOTORWAY (JUNCTION 7)
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that National Highways Limited has made an Order on the M20 Motorway in the County of Kent, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road.
The effect of the Order is to authorise the full weekend closure of the road leading from the London-bound carriageway of the M20 at Junction 7 (A249).
These measures are in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake carriageway, electrical and all associated works.
It is expected that the work will last for approximately one weekend starting on or after Friday 26th January 2024.
The full weekend closure will start at 20:00 on Friday until 06:00 on Monday (maximum period). Please consult National Highways website for further details.
The Order will come into force on 24th January 2024 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months, ceasing when the works are complete.
Traffic affected by the closures will be diverted using the M20 to Junction 6 (A229), A229 and return. The temporary closures and diversion routes will be
clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
