ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14(1)

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2023

LINDEN ROAD, BEDFORD 23 - 119

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, from proceeding along Linden Road Bedford opposite Linden Court.

This temporary road closure is required to facilitate fire hydrant repairs and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 08:00 to 18:00 hours from 17th January 2024 to 19th January 2024

The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Linden Road, Lansdowne Road, Union Street, Warwick Avenue.

The reverse route applies.

The proposed Order will come into operation on 17th January 2024, for a period of 12 months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier. For further information please contact Anglian Water Tel: 08457 145 145.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14(1)

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2023

SPRING HILL, LITTLE STAUGHTON 23 - 093

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along Spring Hill Little Staughton between Green End and Church Lane. This temporary road closure is required for the safety of the work force due to the narrow carriageway whilst footway resurfacing is undertaken and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 09:00 to 15:30 hours from 22nd January 2024 to 29th January 2024 The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via C11 North From Green End To County Boundary, Green End, Little Staughton Road, Staughton Road, Great Staughton Road, Bedford Road, Pertenhall Road, Mill Hill, Wybridge, Kimbolton Road, Keysoe Row East, West End, High Street.

The reverse route applies.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14(1)

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2023

MANOR ROAD, KEMPSTON HARDWICK 23 – 098

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along Manor Road Kempston Hardwick.

This temporary road closure is required to facilitate the undertaking of boreholes and a site survey for future level crossing removal and bridge construction. and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours from 15th January 2024 to 26th January 2024

The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Ampthill Road, Stewartby Way, Green Lane, Woburn Road, Manor Road.

The reverse route applies.

The proposed Order will come into operation on 15th January 2024, for a period of 12 months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier. BEDFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL (KEMPSTON) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND LOADING AND PARKING

PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2018 (AMENDMENT NO.21) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 7th December 2023 Bedford

Borough Council made the above Traffic Regulation Order, the effect of which is detailed below:Effect of the Order.

1. To introduce ‘No Waiting, Mon - Fri, 8:00 - 9:30am, 3:00 - 4:30pm’ restrictions (single yellow line) on the following lengths of road:

A     Hillgrounds Road, Kempston

(i)    On its south-western kerb, from a point approx. 38 metres north-west of the projected centre line of Egglestone Close for a distance of approx. 5.4 metres in a north-westerly direction.

(ii)   On its south-western kerb, from a point approx. 50.1 metres north-west of the projected centre line of Egglestone Close for a distance of approx. 17 metres in a north-westerly direction.

(iii)   On its south-western kerb, from a point approx. 0.5 metres north-west of the projected centre line of Egglestone Close for a distance of approx. 13.9 metres in a south-easterly direction.

(iv)  On its south-western kerb, from a point approx. 13.9 metres south-east of the projected centre line of Egglestone Close for a distance of approx. 31 metres in a south-easterly direction.

2. To introduce “No stopping on entrance markings, Mon - Fri, 8:00am - 4:30pm” restrictions on the following length of road:

A     Hillgrounds Road, Kempston

(i)    On its south-western kerb, from a point approx. 0.5 metres north-west of the projected centre line of Egglestone Close for a distance of approx. 37.5 metres in a north-westerly direction.

3. To revoke existing “No stopping on entrance markings, Mon - Fri, 8:00am - 4:30pm” restrictions on the following length of road: A Hillgrounds Road, Kempston

(i)    On its south-western kerb, from a point approx. 4.8 metres south-east of the projected centre line of Egglestone Close for a distance of approx. 44.7 metres in a south-easterly direction.

Date of Operation This Order will come into force on 11th December 2023 or as soon as practicable after this date.

High Court Challenge: Any person who desires to question the validity of this Order or any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date of this Notice, make application for that purpose to the High Court.

BEDFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL (BEDFORD URBAN AREA

(SOUTH OF THE RIVER AND QUEENS PARK)) (PROHIBITION AND

RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND LOADING AND PARKING

PLACES) ORDER 2009 (AMENDMENT NO.58) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 7th December 2023 Bedford

Borough Council made the above Traffic Regulation Order, the effect of which is detailed below:Effect of the Order:

1. To introduce ‘No waiting at any time’ restrictions (double yellow lines) on the following lengths of road:

A     Queensbury Close, Bedford

(i)    On its northern kerb, from the projected boundary between nos. 8 and 10, extending in an easterly and then northerly direction into the northern arm, to a point on its western side approx. 10 metres from the northern side of the main arm of Queensbury Close.

(ii)   On its north-eastern kerb, from the projected boundary between nos. 72 and 74, extending in a north-westerly and then northerly direction into the northern arm, to a point on its eastern side approx. 10 metres from the northern side of the main arm of Queensbury Close.

Date of Operation This Order will come into force on 11th December 2023 or as soon as practicable after this date.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)  

BEDFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL (STAPLOE: FOOTHPATH NO 7)  

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot along the length of Staploe: Footpath No 7 which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 1469 5968 to OS GR TL 1450 5913. This temporary closure is required to install a new potable water pipeline. The closure is expected to take place from Monday 22nd January 2024 for up to six months.

There is no alternative route for footpath users while the closure is in operation.

The proposed Order will come into operation on 22nd January 2024 for a period not exceeding six months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out on or near to the footpath have been completed, whichever is the earlier. If the works are not completed within six months the Order may be extended for a longer period with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)  

BEDFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL (ODELL: BRIDLEWAY NO 31 AND

FELMERSHAM: BRIDLEWAY NO 8 ) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION  OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the order made by Bedford Borough Council on 23rd December 2022, extended on 30th June 2023 the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot or on horseback or lead a horse or cycle along the length of Odell: Bridleway No 31 and Felmersham: Bridleway No 8 which extends from its junction with Mill Lane Odell at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) SP 9652 5775 to the OS GR SP 9711 5712 junction with Carlton Road Felmersham has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 6th July 2024.

This temporary closure is required as the bridge is unsafe. The closure will continue from Sunday 7th January 2024 for up to six months.

There is no alternative routes for users while the closure is in operation. The Order will come into operation on 7th January 2024 for a period not exceeding six months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out on or near to bridleways have been completed, whichever is the earlier. If the works are not completed within six months the Order may be extended for a longer period with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport.
