What is happening?

VARIOUS ROADS, NORTH TYNESIDE
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2024
North Tyneside Council gives notice that it intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit all through traffic:
FOREST HALL
1. On Killingworth Road from the junction with Great Lime Road to the junction with Great Lime Road Lane.
An alternate route is available via Killingworth Road, West Lane, Hillside, Great Lime Road.
The proposed temporary Order is required for carriageway resurfacing and will come into force on 15 February 2024 for a period not exceeding 13 days. Works to be completed between the hours of 18:00- 00:00.

NORTH SHIELDS
1. On Burdon Street underneath the metro bridge.
An alternate route is available via Burdon Street, Nelson Terrace, Howdon Road, East Howdon Bypass, Wallsend Road, Norham Road, Waterville Road.
The proposed temporary Order is required to install a gulley underneath the bridge and will come into force on 15 February 2024 for a period not exceeding 11 days.

2. On Chirton West View Lane At Rear Of 60-86 from the junction with Lovaine Place West to the junction with West Percy Road West.
There is no alternative route as this a back lane, however access to be given where possible.
The proposed temporary Order is required to install poly ducting within the carriageway and will come into force on 19 February 2024 for a period not exceeding 10 days.

3. On Cleveland Road Lane from the junction with Grosvenor Place to behind number 45 Cleveland Road.
An alternate route is available via Cleveland Road Lane At Rear Of 37-73, Cleveland Terrace, Grosvenor Place.
The proposed temporary Order is required to clear duct blockages and will come into force on 20th February 2024 for a period not exceeding 9 days.

4. On Spring Terrace Lane.
There is no alternative route available as this lane leads to a no exit. Access to be maintained where possible for residents.
The proposed temporary Order is required to excavate and disconnect a service, and will come into force on 27th February 2024 for a period not exceeding 5 days.

5. On Verne Road from outside the Nautilus PH to outside number 13 Verne Road (approx). Works to completed in sections
An alternate route is available via Verne Road, Billy Mill Avenue, Front Street, Wallsend Road, Waterville Road, Norham Road.
The proposed temporary Order is required for the resurfacing of the carriageway and will come into force on 21 February 2024 for a period not exceeding 14 days. Working times will be from 18:00-00:00.

SHIREMOOR
1. On Angerton Avenue from the junction with Park Lane to outside approx. 5 Angerton Avenue.
An alternate route is available via Park Lane, Park Road, Horsley Avenue.
The proposed temporary Order is required for road resurfacing and will come into force on 29th February 2024 for a period not exceeding 9 days.
