What is happening?

Temporary Orders  The Cornwall Council  Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984)  The County of Cornwall (Road From Junction East Of Trerithick To Junction East Of The Shelter,  Altarnun, Launceston) (Temporary Prohibition of  Traffic) Order 2024 
Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 8th January 2024 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA  1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Altarnun, Launceston. This prohibition is necessary to provide safe access to underground structure and gully works and it is expected that the closure will be from 23rd January 2024 to 24th January 2024. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0930 and 1430, weekdays only.  Road affected - Road From Junction East Of Trerithick To Junction East Of The Shelter, Altarnun, Launceston  between grid reference SX 22953:81098 and property  known as Always. An alternative route will be signed on site. Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 8th January 2024 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA  1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the  undermentioned length of road in Treburley, Launceston. This prohibition is necessary to provide access to underground BT structure and it is expected that the closure will be from 23rd January 2024, for one day. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0930 and 1530, weekdays only.  Road affected - Road From Junction East Of Homelands To Glebe Farm, Launceston between grid references SX  35411:77469 and SX 35819:77152. Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 8th January 2024 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the  RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic  of the undermentioned length of road in Lewannick, Launceston. This prohibition is necessary for directional drilling and rising main works and it is expected that the closure will be from 22nd January 2024 to 3rd May 2024. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included.  Road affected - Old Hill, Lewannick, Launceston between  the junction Access from Old Hill to Two Bridges and  property known as Fourways.  An alternative route will be signed on site. Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 8th January 2024 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA  1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the  undermentioned length of road in Morwenstow, Bude. This prohibition is necessary for new water connection works and it is expected that the closure will be from 22nd January 2024 to 26th January 2024. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekdays only.  Road affected - Road From Barn Hill To Coombe,  Morwenstow, Bude between grid references SS 21272:14123 and SS 21280:14144.  An alternative route will be signed on site. Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 8th January 2024 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to  temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the  undermentioned lengths of road in Launceston. This prohibition is necessary for carriageway surface repair works and it is expected that the closure will be  from 22nd January 2024 to 2nd February 2024. The  prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0730 and 1700, weekdays only.  Roads affected - Road From School House To Woodland South Of East Dozmary between property named  School House and grid reference SX 20028:75343  and Road From Junction East Of Trethinnick Bungalow To Woodland South Of East Dozmary between grid  references SX 20028:75343 and SX22697:69977,  Launceston. An alternative route will be signed on site. Cornwall Council  Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984) Temporary Traffic Restriction Order 2024  Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to prohibit the use by  traffic over an area of highway being Western Road, Launceston between the junctons of Dockey and Castle Dyke, Broad Street, Launceston between the junctions of Castle Dyke and Church Street and Southgate Street,  Launceston between the junctions of Broad Street and  Angel Hill. Notice is further given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above order in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily suspend  the existing one-way order The County of Cornwall (Launceston) (Restrictions on Driving) (Consolidation) Order 1991 Broad Street (Class 111) - from the eastern  side of The Square to its junction with Southgate Street  and Southgate Street (Class 111) - between its junctions  with Broad Street and Angel Hill.  The Council is satisfied that the Order is needed because  works are being executed on or near the road to supply a new water connection.  The Order will come into operation on 5th February 2024  and the works are expected to be completed by the 9th  February 2024. The prohibition will be in force between the  hours of 1900 and 0700 on a daily basis, weekdays only.  Nothing in Paragraph 1 of this Order will apply to traffic  associated with the works required within the highway  specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes  of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at  the discretion of a police officer.
