What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C621 RATTLERS ROAD, BRANDON

Suffolk County Council Intends to make an order closing the C621 Rattlers Road, Brandon from the junction with The Orchard for 25 metres south westbound to facilitate the laying of a new gas service. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists. The diversion route will be the B1106, the A1065 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 15/01/2024 -19/01/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to MLP Traffic Ltd. Tel: 0330 016 9696.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U6500 GROSVENOR YARD, NEWMARKET

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U6500 Grosvenor Yard, Newmarket from the junction with the A1304 for 30 metres northbound to facilitate assisting with water cover repairs on the A1304. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Grosvenor Yard, Fitzroy Street, Black Bear Lane, the A1304 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11pm on 16/01/2024 - 5am on 17/01/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2243 SERPENTINE ROAD, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U2243 Serpentine Road, Ipswich from Rydal Walk for 60 metres westbound to facilitate the installation of new low voltage electricity cables. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Beatty Road, Nansen Road, Rydal Walk and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 16/01/2024 -19/01/2023 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to TMO Highways Limited. Tel: (01379) 676462.

TEMPORARY 40 MPH AND 20 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION ON PART OF VARIOUS ROADS, THURSTON AND TOSTOCK

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order for temporary 40 mph and 20 mph speed restrictions on the following roads:

    • 40 mph Speed restriction on the U4907 Hollow Lane, Thurston

    • 40 mph Speed Restriction on the C546 Hollow Lane, Tostock from Hollow Lane, Thurston for 185 metres south eastbound

    • 20 mph Speed Restriction on the C561 The Green, Tostock from the Junction with Norton Road to the junction with Church Road

    • 20 mph Speed Restriction on the C561 The Green, Tostock from The Crossings for 30 metres southbound

    • 20 mph Speed Restriction on the C561 The Green, Tostock from Beech Tree House for 25 metres north eastbound

    • 20 mph Speed Restriction on the U4906 Leys Road, Tostock from The Green to the junction with Ash Lane

    • 20 mph Speed Restriction on the C561 New Road, Tostock from the junction with Church Road for 230 metres southbound

    • 20 mph Speed Restriction on the C651 Church Road, Tostock. This is to facilitate a concrete renewal scheme. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

It is intended that this measure will operate from 15/01/2024 -30/09/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to National Highways. Tel: 0300 123 5000.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2506 ROSEMARY LANE, KELSALE CUM CARLTON

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U2506 Rosemary Lane, Kelsale Cum Carlton from Builders Yard for 70 metres westbound to facilitate the installation of telecommunications ducting. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1121, Carlton Road and vice versa.

TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED RESTRICTION ON PART OF THE A141 ROAD FROM HADLEIGH TO THE A134 AND THE U8309 WATSONS HILL, SEMER

Suffolk County Council intends to make an for a temporary 30 mph speed restriction on the

    • A1141 road from Hadleigh to the A134, Semer from Ravens Hall to Threeways

    • U8309 Watsons Hill, Semer from the A1141 for 60 metres north eastbound.

This is to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 16/01/2023 -18/01/2023 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to TBF Traffic. Tel: (01449) 490865.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U7418, U7417, U7420, U7419 VARIOUS ROADS, HAWSTEAD, WHEPSTEAD AND LAWSHALL Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:

    • U7418 Whepstead Road, Hawstead from the junction with Brands Lane for 130 metres northbound.

    • U7417 Straight Road, Whepstead from the junction with Whepstead Road for 30 metres westbound.

    • U7420 Folly Lane, Lawshall from the junction with Whepstead Road for 30 metres southbound.

    • U7419 Brands Lane, Hawstead from the junction with Whepstead Road for 30 metres south eastbound.

This is to facilitate a new water main installation. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Bull Lane, Church Road, Bury Road, Lawshall Road, Bury Road, Hartest Lane, Golden Lane, Tuffields Road, the B1066 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 15/01/2024 -17/01/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to MLP Traffic Limited. Tel: 0330 016 9696.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C347 FERRY ROAD, FELIXSTOWE

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C347 Ferry Road, Felixstowe from the junction with Gulpher Road for 170 metres southbound to facilitate road surfacing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period; Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Cliff Road and vice versa.

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U2109 New Street, Framlingham from 149 metres south of Saxtead Road for 20 metres southbound to facilitate a new water connection.

Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1119tthe B1116, Kettleburgh Road, Lampard Brook, Apsey Green and vice versa.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C677 REDE ROAD, WHEPSTEAD

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C677 Rede Road, Whepstead from 446 metres north of Blacksmith Road for 150 metres northbound to facilitate the installation of water pipes. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Blacksmith Road, Kiln Lane, the A143, Chedburgh Road, Old School Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 15/01/2024 -22/01/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Anglian Water Services. Tel: 0345 7145145.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C546 HOLLOW LANE, TOSTOCK

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C546 Hollow Lane, Tostock from 350 metres south of Rectory Farm for 60 metres southbound to facilitate works to telegraph poles. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Hollow Lane, Tostock, Norton Road, Heath Road, Hawes Lane, Road from the A1088 to Thurston, Great Green, Hollow Lane, Tostock and vice versa.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE A1088 WOOLPIT ROAD, NORTON

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the A1088 Woolpit Road, Norton from 112 metres south of the junction with Heath Road and The Street for 20 metres southbound to facilitate a new water supply. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A14, the A134, the A143 and vice versa.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3502 CRETINGHAM ROAD, FRAMSDEN

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U3502 Cretingham Road, Framsden from Ducks Barn to Bungalow Farm to facilitate the installation of a new electrical supply. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1077, the A1120, The Street, Brandeston Road, Earl Soham, Low Lane, Old Maids Lane, Brandeston Road, Cretingham and vice versa.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C446 LOWER ROAD, CODDENHAM

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C446 Lower Road, Coddenham from 22 metres south of Choppins Hall Cottage for 270 metres southbound to facilitate pole testing works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Stone Street, Ipswich Road, Helmingham Road, High Street, School Road, Lower Road and vice versa.

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C429 Beyton Road.Drinkstone from Street Farm for40 metres westbound to facilitate electrical connection works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Beyton Road, Drinkstone Road, Quaker Lane, The Street The Green, Manor Road, Bury Road, Church Road, Felsham Road, Rattlesden Road, Gedding Road and vice versa.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1122 MIDDLETON ROAD, YOXFORD

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the B1122 Middleton Road, Yoxford from 505 metres east of the junction with the A12 for 480 metres eastbound to facilitate the installation of enforcement cameras. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1122, the B1125, the B1387, the A12 and vice versa.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C662 DUNSTALL GREEN, OUSDEN

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C662 ?unstall Green, Ousden from 700 metres north of Front Street for 30 metres northbound to facilitate a water meter exchange. Other co-ordinated woris may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Dalham Road, Denham Road, the B1085, Front Street and vice versa.
