U6513 Roads And Footways In Ashington - Temporary Road and Footway Closure

U6513 ROADS AND FOOTWAYS IN ASHINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD and FOOTWAY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic and pedestrian traffic on the following sections of roads and footways in Ashington in the County of Northumberland.
Road Closures:
U6513 Garden City Villas from the gable end of house number 99 heading east for a distance of 42 metres.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 22nd January 2024 until the 1st February 2024 and that the road will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 22nd April 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Garden City Villas, Cavendish Terrace, Milburn Road.
U6513 Milburn Road Back Lane from its junction with Bolsover Terrace heading south for a distance of 80 metres.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 22nd January 2024 until the 5th February 2024 and that the road will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 22nd April 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Milburn Road, Cavendish Terrace, Bolsover Street, Bertram Terrace, Cavendish Gardens.
Footway Closures:-
U6513 Lesbury Avenue Footway from its junction with Lesbury Avenue heading northwards for a distance of 48 metres.
It is expected that the footway will only be closed from the 23rd January 2024 until the 29th January 2024 and that the footway will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 22nd April 2024.
There is no alternative route for pedestrian traffic.
U6513 Footway From Outside of 12 to 56 Garden City Villas from outside of house number 59 heading east for a distance of 45 metres.
It is expected that the footway will only be closed from the 22nd January 2024 until the 29th January 2024 and that the footway will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 22nd April 2024.
The alternative route for pedestrian traffic will be via Garden City Villas.
The Order is to be effective from the 22nd January 2024 until the 22nd April 2024.

The closure has been requested by Avonline Networks Ltd on behalf of Virgin Media to excavate a narrow trench to install micro-duct and subsequent installation of network in the footway and carriageway.
In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
