(TEMPORARY PUBLIC FOOTPATHS CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council has made an Order to prohibit the use of Wansbeck District Public Footpaths Nos 54 and 62, in the County of Northumberland.
The route is described as follows:
Wansbeck District Public Footpaths Nos 54
From the C403 road 70 metres south of the Sewerage Works and south of the Mineral Railway Line in a southerly direction for a distance of 640 metres to the junction with Public Footpath No 62, 400 metres south of Sleekburn Business Centre.
Wansbeck District Public Footpath No 62
From Public Footpath No 54, 400 metres south of Sleekburn Business Centre in a general south-easterly direction for a distance of 445 metres to a point 185 metres north-west of Sandfield Road.
Also, a section of footpath from a point 185 metres north-west of Sandfield Road in a southerly direction for a distance of 245 metres to a point on the C415 road roundabout at East Sleekburn.
The Order is to be effective from the 8th January 2024 until the 8th July 2024 or until the works are complete.

The closure has been requested by PBU (UK) Limited in the interests of public safety to facilitate the installation of new 11kV power cabling to supply JDR Cables factory.
