(GENERAL AMENDMENTS) TRAFFIC
ORDER 2023
On 13 December 2023 South Tyneside Council made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The Order, which comes into operation on 08 January 2024 will amend the existing Consolidation Orders covering Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Parking Places prior to the commencement of the preparation of new Consolidation Orders to correct the no waiting restriction on Moor Lane, South Shields south side to confirm the restriction commences 38 metres west of its junction with Sunderland Road in a westerly direction for a distance of 20 metres; correct references to bay widths in relevant Schedules to 2 metres from 2.1 and 2.3 metres and amend reference to North Ring Road, Jarrow into 3 separate street records B1297 Chaytor Street, Jarrow; B1297 Curlew Road, Jarrow and B1297 Priory Road, Jarrow. Full details are contained in the Order, which, together with a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order, may be inspected from Monday to Friday during normal office hours at the Town Hall at the address below. Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act or that any of the requirements of the Act or of any relevant regulations made under the Act have not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from 13 December 2023 when the Order was made, make an application for that purpose to the High Court.
