TO WANSBECK TERRACE WEST SLEEKBURN
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of highway in West Sleekburn in the County of Northumberland.
C403 Wansbeck Terrace heading eastwards from the level crossing for a distance of 20 metres.
C403 Riverbank to Wansbeck Terrace heading westwards from the level crossing for a distance of 20 metres.
The Order is to be effective from the 27th January 2024 until the 29th January 2024.
It is expected that the road will only be closed on the following dates and times: -
21:30 hours on the 27th January 2024 until 05:30 hours on the 29th January 2024 continuous closure.

The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the C403, C415 , A189, A1147 and vice-versa.
The alternative route for pedestrian traffic will be via a shuttle bus provided by Network Rail.

The closure has been requested by Centurion Traffic Management on behalf of Balfour Beatty for tamping through the level crossing. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
