ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)(a) AND (7)

THE A5 TRUNK ROAD (ASTCOTE, WEST NORTHAMPTONSHIRE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC IN LAYBY) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company no.9346363) intends to make an order on the A5 Trunk Road, at Astcote,  in the County of West Northamptonshire, to allow telecommunication works to be carried out.

The effect of the Order will be to close the layby adjacent to the southbound carriageway of the A5 approximately 30 metres south of its junction with High Street, at Astcote.

The work will be carried out between 21:00 hours and 05:00 hours and is expected to start on Thursday 18 January 2024, and continue for one night. The Order will come into force on 15 January 2024.

Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes, and vehicles being used in connection with the works or for winter maintenance purposes will be exempt from the closure.

THE M1 MOTORWAY (JUNCTION 18) (SLIP ROAD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company no. 9346363) intends to make an Order on the M1 Motorway, in the County of West Northamptonshire, to enable survey works to be carried out.

The effect of the Order will be to close the slip road leading from the southbound carriageway of the M1 at Junction 18.

The work will be carried out overnight between 20:00 hours and 06:00 hours and is expected to start on Monday 22 January 2024 and continue for five nights. The Order will come into force on 19 January 2024.

Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority, ambulance or traffic officer purposes and vehicles being used in connection with the works or for winter maintenance purposes will be exempt from the closure.

A diversion route via the M1 Junction 16 will be signed.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTIONS 14(1)(a) AND (7)

THE A45 TRUNK ROAD (COLLINGTREE TO LITTLE IRCHESTER) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION AND PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)  ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company no. 9346363) intends to make an Order on the A45 Trunk Road in the Counties of West Northamptonshire and North Northamptonshire, to enable safety fence survey and repair works, kerb installation, resurfacing, bridge and general maintenance works to be carried out.

The effect of the Order, will be to, at different times, –

(1)  impose a speed restriction of 50 miles per hour on –

(a)  the northbound carriageway of the A45 from its roundabout junction with Saxon Avenue and the M1 Junction 15 slip roads (M1 Junction 15 Roundabout), at Collingtree, to the centreline of the A509 overbridge, at Little Irchester; and

(b)  the southbound carriageway of the A45 from the centreline of the A509 overbridge, at Little Irchester; to its junction with M1 Junction 15 Roundabout;

(2)  close –

(a)  lengths of the A45 between its junction with M1 Junction 15 Roundabout, and its roundabout junction with the A509 Wilby Way (Wilby Way Roundabout), at Wellingborough;

(b)  any slip road or link road leading to or from the length of the A45 described in (2)(a) above; and

(c)  any layby adjacent to the length of the A45 described in (2)(a) above; and

(3)  prohibit any vehicle from entering or leaving the length of the A45 described in (2)(a) above at its junction with any side road.

The work will be carried out overnight between 20:00 hours and 06:00 hours and is expected to start on Tuesday 30 January 2024 and continue for approximately fourteen weeks. The speed restriction will be in operation from 20:00 hours on Tuesday 30 January 2024, for twenty-four hours per day, for the duration of the works. The layby closures will be in operation from 12:00 hours on Tuesday 30 January 2024, for twenty-four hours per day, for the duration of the works. The Order will come into force on  23 January 2024.

Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes will be exempt from the speed restriction, closures and prohibition. Vehicles being used for special forces purposes will be exempt from the speed restriction, and vehicles being used in connection with the works or for winter maintenance purposes will be exempt from the closures and prohibition.

Diversion routes using the M1, the A5123, the A5076, the A509 and the A428 and alternative junctions of the A45 will be signed. Local diversion routes will also be in operation. For further information please contact Helen Beech on 07525 310 821.
