Dishforth, Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Due To Resurfacing Works

THE A1(M) MOTORWAY AND A168 TRUNK ROAD (DISHFORTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited has made an Order on the A1(M) Motorway and A168 Trunk Road, in the County of North Yorkshire, to enable resurfacing and road marking works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to start on Monday 8 January 2024 for 2 nights, or until completed, and will take place between 8pm and 6am. The effect of the Order will be to close, at times during the works, the:

(i) A168 carriageway from its commencement at the northbound entry slip road at the A1M Junction 49 (Dishforth) to its junction with the Dishforth Interchange western dumbell roundabout, a distance, a distance of 670 metres;

(ii) A1(M) northbound entry slip road at Junction 49; and

(iii) A1(M) southbound exit slip road at Junction 49. During the closures suitably signed alternative routes will be available at all times.

Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibitions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance or traffic officer purposes). The Order comes into force on 7 January 2024 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months. The contact for this scheme is Michael McCormack.
