THE EAST DUNBARTONSHIRE COUNCIL

(NORTH-WESTBOUND CARRIAGEWAY OF MARYHILL ROAD, BEARSDEN AND CANNIESBURN TOLL ROUNDABOUT, BEARSDEN) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

On the 3 January 2024 the East Dunbartonshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so) on the sections of roads detailed in the Schedule below, by reason of works being executed on or near this road.

This Order will operate from 06.00 hours on  Monday, 8 January until 18.00 hours on Tuesday,  27 February 2024.

Alternative Route

Alternative routes will be by way of MacFarlane Road, the A81 Milngavie Road in Bearsden, Main Street, Park Road, the B8050 Craigdhu Road in Milngavie, the B8050 Baljaffray Road, A810 Duntocher Road in Bearsden, the A810 Glasgow Road, the A8014 Kilbowie Road in Hardgate, the A82 Great Western Road, and these routes will be signposted.

SCHEDULE

1.   Northwestbound carriageway of Maryhill Road
closed between its junctions with the A81 Milngavie Road and Canniesburn Toll Roundabout, Bearsden.

2.   Canniesburn Toll Roundabout
closed between its junctions with the A739 Switchback Road (Southbound) /Maryhill Road and the extended east kerbline of the A739 Switchback Road (Northbound), Bearsden.
