What is happening?

CITY OF BRISTOL

(CLIFTON STREET, BEDMINSTER, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES AND FOOT PASSENGERS) (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is:
1. to close, temporarily, to vehicles and pedestrians that length of Clifton Street from West Street north westwards for 23 metres; and
2. to suspend, temporarily, when appropriate signs are covered, the one way traffic working in Clifton Street so as to allow access and egress for works vehicles and to give effect to the alternative route as a consequence of item 1. above.
Exemption will be provided in the Order for any pedestrian requiring necessary access to premises situated on the closed length.
The Order was required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from 8th January 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place from 8am until 5pm Monday to Friday between 8th January 2024 and 21st February 2025).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES:
vehicles: Clifton Street (part unaffected), British Road, South Road, West Street
pedestrians: Clifton Street (part unaffected), British Road, South Road, West Street and vice versa
(COMBFACTORY LANE, EASTON, BRISTOL)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY FOOT PASSENGERS) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to close, temporarily, to pedestrians that length of Combfactory Lane which extends from Bannerman Road to Easton Road.
The Order was required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the footpath and becomes operative from 8th January 2024 for a maximum period of six months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 8th January 2024 and 2nd February 2024).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Bannerman Road, Easton Road and vice versa
(MAGGS LANE, SPEEDWELL, BRISTOL)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Maggs Lane which extends from Clay Hill eastwards for 94 metres.
The Order was required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from 8th January 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 8th January 2024 and 12th January 2024).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Clay Hill, Chapel Lane, Rose Green Road, Deep Pit Road, Knapps Lane, Maggs Lane (part unaffected) and vice versa
(ROCHESTER ROAD, ST. ANNE’S, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES AND FOOT PASSENGERS) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to close, temporarily, to vehicles and pedestrians that length of Rochester Road from the common boundary line of No. 22 and No. 24 Rochester Road to the common boundary line of No. 30 and No. 32 Rochester Road.
The Order was required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from 8th January 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 8th January 2024 and 10th January 2024).
Exemption will be provided in the Order for any pedestrian requiring necessary access to premises situated on the closed length.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Rochester Road (part unaffected), Bangor Road, St. David’s Crescent, Guildford Road, Rochester Road (part unaffected) and vice versa
