What is happening?

THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF 
WINDSOR & MAIDENHEAD
DRIFT ROAD (PART), MAIDENHEAD
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) 
ORDER 2024
The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead has made an Order, the effect of which will be to:-
Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along this part of Drift Road, Maidenhead from eastern boundary of 2 Orchard Cottages westward for a distance of 100 metres. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this closure is via Drift Road, Howe Lane, B3024 Littlefield Green, B3024 Paley Street, A330 Ascot Road and Drift Road.

The purpose of the proposed Order is to facilitate works on the highway, namely installation of new pole and there is the likelihood of danger to the public.

The Order will be in operation daily between 
09.30 hours and 16.00 hours from Monday 
8 January until Wednesday 10 January 2024. 
There will be a temporary prohibition of driving 
when signs as prescribed by the Traffic Sign 
Regulations and General Directions 2016 are in 
place to indicate the said restrictions.
