What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 - KIRKLEES COUNCIL
(BRUNSWICK STREET, BATLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Brunswick Street, Batley from its junction with Commercial Street to its junction with Hanover Street PROVIDED THAT such prohibition
shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will not be maintained. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Commercial Street, Wards Hill, Hanover Street and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will
commence on Monday, 22nd January
2024 and remain in force until 29th March 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(QUAKER LANE, HIGHTOWN,
LIVERSEDGE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that
the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Quaker Lane, Hightown, Liversedge from its junction with Halifax Road to its termination point PROVIDED THAT such prohibition
shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
There is no alternative diversionary route available. Access maintained for residents and Emergency Service Vehicles only.
It is intended that the closure will
commence on Monday, 22nd January
2024 and remain in force until 28th January 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(ALEXANDRA ROAD, BATLEY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) AND (SUSPENSION OF
EXISTING ORDER) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Alexandra Road from its junction with Bradford Road for approximately 70 metres PROVIDED THAT such prohibition
shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Bradford Road, Rouse Mill Lane.
To facilitate access the existing One Way Traffic Order on Alexandra Road has been temporarily suspended for the duration of the works in so far as and in as much as it affects that length Alexandra Road from its junction with Rouse Mill Lane to a point approximately 70 metres from Bradford Road.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 8th January 2024 and remain in force until 18th January 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(GEORGE STREET, DEWSBURY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of George Street, Dewsbury from its junction with Central Street PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Dated this 04 January 2024.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Central Street, Pinfold Hill, Webster Hill, Dewsbury Ring Road and vice versa. It is intended that the closure will operate on Thursday, 11th January 2024 between 07:00 - 17:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

CROSS STREET, BATLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of road in Batley:-
Commercial Street - from its junction with Branch Road to its junction with
Wellington Street
Market Place - from its junction with
Commercial Street to its junction with
New Way
Well Lane - from its junction with
Commercial Street to its junction with Spa Street
Cross Street - from its junction with
Commercial Street to its junction with Wards Hill
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition
shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via:-
Commercial Street - via Upper
Commercial Street, Mayman Lane, Wellington Street and vice versa.
Market Place - via Upper Commercial Street, Mayman Lane, Wellington Street, Cambridge Street and vice versa. Cross Street/Well Lane - via Cross Street, Wellington Street, Hick Lane, Bradford Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 8th January 2024 and remain in force until 13th January 2024 between 20:00 - 06:00 hours each day (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(LITTLETHORPE ROAD,
HARTSHEAD, LIVERSEDGE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Littlethorpe Road, Hartshead from a point outside property no. 11 to a point outside property no. 13 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Littlethorpe Road, road from Littlethorpe Road to Prospect Road, Prospect Road and vice versa. It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 8th January 2024 and remain in force until 10th January 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(BLANKET HALL STREET, HECKMONDWIKE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Blanket Hall Street, Heckmondwike from a point outside Morrisons Car Park to a point outside properties 69 & 77 Market Place PROVIDED THAT such prohibition
shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will not be maintained. There is no alternative diversionary route available.
It is intended that the closure will commence Monday, 8th January 2024 and remain in force until 16th February 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
