What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(A164 AND SIDE ROADS OFF A164)
(TEMPORARY 30 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION)
ORDER 2024
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed at a speed exceeding 30 mph along the following roads:
• A164 Beverley Road – starting 100 metres South of Skidby roundabout and ending at Victoria Road roundabout Beverley, incorporating Beverley Road, Bentley and Beverley Road, Woodmansey
• Skidby Roundabout, Skidby
• Main Street, Skidby – 50 metres west of Skidby roundabout to Skidby roundabout
• Harland Way, Cottingham – 100 metres east of Skidby roundabout to Skidby roundabout
• Dunflat Road, Bentley – extending 100 metres from the junction with the A164 Beverley Road
• Main Street, Bentley extending 100 metres from the
Manor Farm Cottages to the A164 Beverley Road
• Lincoln Way, Beverley – between the junction with Victoria roundabout and the junction with Regiment roundabout
• Regiment roundabout, Beverley
• Minster Way, Woodmansey extending 400 metres from
Regiment roundabout
The reason for the speed restriction is to enable the proposed Jocks Lodge Scheme works, to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public.
It is anticipated that the works will be completed by 8 July 2025.
The Order will commence 8 January 2024 and continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
