Longcross Road (B386) Chertsey Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 3 January 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Longcross Road (B386) Chertsey which extends from its junction with the western arm of Kitsmead Lane to its junction with Stone Hill Road, and any parts thereof. This Order is required to enable J Browne Construction to carry out development work and/or water main laying works, which is anticipated to be completed within 6 months during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 8 January 2024. The works are anticipated to be carried out as follows: between 8am and 6pm on weekdays, between 8am and 3pm on Saturdays and between 9am and 1pm on Sundays. The works are anticipated to be carried out in 3 phases. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so, if necessary via the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2) (b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises, including emergency vehicle access, within the length of road above or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising. Alternative Routes – Phase 1 (between Kitsmead Lane and Accommodation Road): Accommodation Road, Stonehill Road, Chertsey Road, Windsor Road, Staple Hill, Longcross Road and vice versa; Phase 2 (between Accommodation Road and east of Tryshil Cottage): Stonehill Road, Chertsey Road, Windsor Road, Staple Hill, Longcross Road and vice versa; and Phase 3 (between east of Tryshill Cottage and east of Lyne Lane): Stonehill Road, Accommodation Road, Longcross Road and vice versa.
Brook Road (C31) Godalming Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Brook Road (C31) Godalming as extends from its junction with the access to the properties known as “The Glade” and “Swept Valleys” southwestwards for a distance of approximately 200 metres. Alternative Route – Brook Road; Church Lane; Bannacle Hill Road; and Brook Road; and (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council Brook Road (C31) Godalming Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” insofar as it affects that length of road specified and described in part (a) to this Notice. The Order is required to allow telecoms ducting works and/ or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of BT Openreach within the length of road described in this notice.
These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 4 days between the hours of 9am and 6pm within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 23 January 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for residents, the emergency services, pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times via operatives on site.
Rydes Hill Road (D4021) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Rydes Hill Road (D4021) Guildford as extends from its junction with (D4021 Byrefield Road to its junction with (D4021) Sheepfold Road. Alternative Route – Byrefield Road; A322 Worplesdon Road; and Sheepfold Road. The Order is required to allow overhead cabling works and/or tree cutting, and removal works and/or telecoms utility works and/or maintenance works to be carried out by, or on behalf of BT Openreach within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 1 day between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 29 January 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, the emergency services, pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times via operatives on site.
Woodlands Road (D6903) Esher Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Woodlands Road (D6903) Esher which extends from its junction with Ember Lane to its junction with Cranbrook Drive. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to major maintenance and surfacing works, which is anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 22 January 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Alternative Route for closure of Ember Lane to Grove Way – B3379 Ember Lane, D6899 Lower Green Road and D6903 Woodend. Alternative Route for closure of Grove Way to Cranbrook Drive – D6903 The Woodlands, B3379 Ember Lane, D6904 The Drive, D6905 Grove Way, D6902 Cranbrook Drive, D6902 Blair Avenue and D6901 Douglas Road.
