Dark Lane & Rowan Close Footpath - Prohibition Of Driving For Gas Mains Replacement Works

(Temporary Prohibition Of Driving) Order 2024 (R24-017)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Bingham in the Borough of Rushcliffe.

The effects of the Order will be:

1. No persons shall proceed on foot or pedal cycle in the following length of road to which the public has access (“footpath”) Footpath Rowan Close to Cogley Lane - for its full length.

2. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road; -

Dark Lane - from its junction with Grantham Road to its junction with Perry Grove.

1. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

2. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: From 07:00 hours on Monday 15th January 2024 Until 18:00 hours on Saturday 17th February 2024

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:

Dark Lane - Grantham Road - Long Acre East and vice versa.

The Order will come into force on Monday 15th January 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out.

The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 6 months).

The prohibition is required to enable Cadent Gas and Network Plus to carry out gas mains replacement works;
