What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOOTPATH HERTFORD 12

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that length of Footpath Hertford 12, heading west toward junction with North Road, for an approximate distance of 65m.

Alternative route: no suitable alternative on PRoW network

The purpose of the Order is to enable utilities works to take place.

The section of Footpath will be closed on or after 11 January 2024 for up to 4 days, when signs are in place.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A507 BALDOCK ROAD, COTTERED) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A507 Baldock Road, Cottered from its junction with Throcking Lane south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with the access road leading to ‘How Green Farm’, a distance of approximately 2200m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via A507 (Baldock Road/unnamed road/Clothall Road/Station Road/North Road/Great North Road), the A1(M), A505 (Baldock Bypass/Royston Road/ Baldock Road/Royston Bypass), A10 (Melbourn Road/Priory Lane/Barkway Street/London Road/Ermine Street/unnamed road/Buntingford Bypass) and A507 Baldock Road or via A507 Baldock Road, A10 (Buntingford Bypass/unnamed road/Ermine Street/London Road/Market Hill/Priory Lane/Melbourn Road), A505 (Royston Bypass/Baldock Road/ Royston Road/Baldock Bypass), the A1(M) and A507 (Great North Road/North Road/ Station Road/Clothall Road/unnamed road/Baldock Road) or via A507 (Baldock Road/unnamed road/Clothall Road), B656 Royston Road, A505 (Baldock Bypass/Royston Road/Baldock Road/Royston Bypass), A10 (Melbourn Road/ Priory Lane/Barkway Street/London Road/Ermine Street/unnamed road/Buntingford Bypass) and A507 Baldock Road or via A507 Baldock Road, A10 (Buntingford Bypass/unnamed road/Ermine Street/London Road/Market Hill/Priory Lane/Melbourn Road), A505 (Royston Bypass/Baldock Road/ Royston Road/Baldock Bypass), B656 (Royston Bypass Interchange with Wallington Road/Royston Road) and A507 (Clothall Road/unnamed road/Baldock Road).

The Order is needed because water service connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 21 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN FORE STREET, HERTFORD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Fore Street, Hertford from its junction with the A414 Bluecoats roundabout north westwards and south westwards to its junction with South Street, a distance of approximately 91m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via A119 Ware Road, Railway Place, Railway Street and South Street.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 15 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CUNNINGHAM ROAD AND MONTGOMERY DRIVE, CHESHUNT) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”):-

1. that length of Cunningham Road, Cheshunt from its junction with Cunningham Close south eastwards for a distance of approximately 56m.

An alternative route will be via Cunningham Road, B176 High Street, Mill Lane, Wavell Close and Cunningham Road.

2. that length of Montgomery Drive, Cheshunt from its junction with Mill Lane north eastwards for a distance of approximately 55m.

An alternative route will be via Mill Lane, Wavell Close and Montgomery Drive.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 22 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A507 BALDOCK ROAD, COTTERED) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A507 Baldock Road, Cottered from a point 370m north east of its junction with Throcking Lane north eastwards for a distance of approximately 50m (“the Road”), except for access.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN SOUTHBROOK DRIVE, CHESHUNT) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Southbrook Drive, Cheshunt from a point 49m south west of its junction with Brookfield Lane West south westwards, westwards, northwards and southwards for its entire length (“the Road”), except for access.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 22 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF OSBORNE ROAD, BROXBOURNE) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Osborne Road, Broxbourne from its westernmost junction with St Catharines Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 130m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via St Catharines Road, A1170 High Road, New Road, Churchfields and St Catharines Road.

The Order is needed because duct laying works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 8 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A119 NORTH ROAD, HERTFORD) ORDER NO.4 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A119 North Road, Hertford from its junction with the B1000 Welwyn Road roundabout south eastwards to its junction with the Beane Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 70m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via A119 (North Road/High Road/Hertford Road), A602 (Ware Road/Tonwell Bypass/Wadesmill Road), A10 (unnamed road), A414 (Rush Green Link/ London Road/Gascoyne Way/Hertingfordbury Road) and A119 (Cross Lane/North Road).

The Order is needed because vegetation removal works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 10 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN WARE PARK ROAD, HERTFORD) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Ware Park Road, Hertford from its junction with Rib Vale north eastwards, south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with Hertford Public Bridleway and Restricted Byway No.097, a distance of approximately 253m (“the Road”), except for access.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 12 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN MILL LANE, CHESHUNT) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Mill Lane, Cheshunt from its junction with B176 High Street south eastwards to its junction with Wavell Close, a distance of approximately 349m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via B176 High Street, Cunningham Road and Wavell Close.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 8 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
