What is happening?

The Council of the City of Salford made the Salford City Council (A580 East Lancashire Road, Salford) (Temporary 30MPH Speed Limit) Order 2024 under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will temporarily reduce the current 40 MPH speed limit to 30 MPH and introduce the following restrictions. 
Temporary 30 MPH Speed limit Order on:- A580 East Lancashire Road - between the junctions of Worsley Road and Lancaster Road in both directions. The order is required as part of the junction improvement scheme, including footway and carriageway improvement works and junction crossing upgrade. The order is due to come into operation on the 8th January 2024 and will last for a period of 25 weeks. 

A copy of the Order and plans of the area may be examined at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm to Fri inclusive.
