THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
THE LEICESTER (FROG ISLAND, NORTHGATE STREET) (TEMPORARY) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicester City Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be, for the following anticipated period of time to:
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles in a south-east bound direction on Frog Island between its junctions with Abbey Gate and with Northgate Street from 12.00am on Tuesday 9th January 2024 until 11.59pm on Monday 1st April 2024.
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles in a south-east bound direction on Northgate Street between its junctions with Sanvey Gate and with Frog Island from 12.00am on Tuesday 9th January 2024 until 11.59pm on Monday 1st April 2024.
The Order will come into effect on the 9th January 2024 and will continue in force for up to 18 months, or until the order is no longer deemed necessary, whichever is the earlier.
This order is made to facilitate highway improvement works taking place and to prevent the likeliness of danger to the public. 
Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
