THE LEICESTER (GALLOWTREE GATE) (TEMPORARY) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicester City Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be, for the following anticipated period of time to:
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles on Gallowtree Gate at its junction with Halford Street from 12.00am on Monday 15th January 2024 until 11.59pm on Friday 22nd March 2024.
Diversion route: Halford Street, Charles Street, St Georges Way, Waterloo Way, Regent Road, Carlton Street, Oxford Street, Southgates, St Nicholas Circle, St Nicholas Place, High Street, East Gates, Gallowtree Gate.
The Order will come into effect on the 15th January 2024 and will continue in force for up to 18 months, or until the order is no longer deemed necessary, whichever is the earlier.
This order is made to facilitate bollard installation works taking place and to prevent the likeliness of danger to the public. Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
