What is happening?
MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s): ORDER NO. MCC136878274:
The City of Manchester (Floatshall Road, Baguley Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Floatshall Road from its junction with Bowland Road to its junction with Southmoor Road.
The alternative routes for traffic will be: (1) Floatshall Road, Leaton Avenue, Heyland Road, Hall Lane, Altrincham Road, Southmoor Road (2) Bowland Road, Marden Road, Hollyhedge Road, Southmoor Road.
The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate Carriageway Resurfacing. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 13th January 2024 to 20th January 2024 weekend days only.
The order shall come into operation on 13th January 2024 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.

ORDER NO. MCC000136879108: The City of Manchester (Wilmslow Road, Old Moat Ward) (Temporary Closure of Bus Lane) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit any bus, taxi or pedal cycle from proceeding at any time in the following length of bus lane: Wilmslow Road from its junction with Latchmere Road to its junction with Granville Road.
The City Council is satisfied that this suspension/ or prohibition is necessary in order to rebuild chamber. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 13th January 2024 to 14th January 2024.
The order shall come into operation on 13th January 2024 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months.
If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.

ORDER NO. MCC136523704: The City of Manchester (Chapeltown Street, Piccadilly Ward) (Temporary One Way Vehicular Traffic) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to make Chapeltown Street One Way (towards Great Ancoats Street).
The alternative routes for traffic will be: Great Ancoats Street, Store Street, Sparkle Street, Chapeltown Street.
The City Council is satisfied that this restriction is necessary in order to facilitate Telecomms installation. It is expected that the works will be in progress on the 14th January 2024.
The Order shall come into operation on 14th January 2024 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.

ORDER NO. MCC136163775: The City of Manchester (Deansgate, Deansgate Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Deansgate from St Marys Gate to St Ann Street.
The alternative routes for traffic will be: Blackfriars Street, Chapel Street, New Bailey Street, Bridge Street West, Bridge Street, St Mary’s Parsonage, King Street West, Southgate, St Mary’s Street.
The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate a crane. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 14th January 2024 to 15th January 2024 between the hours of 22:00 and 05:00 & between 21st January 2024 to 22nd January 2024 between the hours of 22:00 and 05:00 with back up dates of 28/01/2024 to 29/01/2024 and 04/02/2024 to 05/02/2024.
The order shall come into operation on 14th January 2024 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
