Temporary One-Way Traffic Restriction Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above order in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to impose a temporary one-way restriction over an area of highway being oneway restriction over an area of highway being Clarence Street between the junction of St Erbyns Car Park and the junction of St Claire Street for approximately 70 metres in a South to North Westerly direction.. The Council is satisfied that the Order is needed because works are being executed on or near the road/owing to public safety to carry out Works Description.

It is further ordered that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to impose a No Left Turn restriction from St Erbyns Car Park onto Clarence Street, and a No Left Turn restriction from Clarence Terrace onto Clarence Street.

The Order shall come into force on the 29th December 2023, it is expected that the works will be completed by the 24th May 2024. The restriction will be in force 24 hours a day weekends included.

The Council is satisfied that the Order is needed because works are being executed on or near the road to the Penzance Creative Cluster.

Cornwall Council
Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 25th December 2023 in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being Footpath 10, St Buryan, Lamorna and Paul for its entire length. The Council is satisfied that the Order is needed because works are being executed on or near the public right of way to carry out repairs to collapsed boardwalk.

The Order will come into operation on 26th December 2023 and the works are expected to be completed by the 3rd June 2024. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included.

The road was previously closed for reasons of public safety by notice under Section 14(2) of the RTRA 1984 from the 4th December 2023 for a period of up to 21 days. Nothing in this Order will apply to traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Hayle. This prohibition is necessary for fibre connection works and it is expected that the closure will be from 29th January 2024 to 16th February 2024. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included.

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 1st January 2024 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Tremethick Cross. This prohibition is necessary for poling works and it is expected that the closure will be from 16th January 2024, for one day. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0830 and 1630, weekdays only.

Road affected - Lesingey Lane, Tremethick Cross for its entire length.

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 1st January 2024 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in St Ives. This prohibition is necessary for resurfacing works and it is expected that the closure will be from 15th January 2024 to 19th January 2024. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0730 and 1700, weekdays only.

Road affected - Park Avenue, Tregenna Terrace and Pednolver Terrace, St Ives for their entire lengths.

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned lengths of road in Penzance. This prohibition is necessary for demolition works and it is expected that the closure will be from 29th January 2024 to 31st March 2024. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included.

Roads affected - Coinagehall Street, Penzance between the junction of Coinagehall Place and Barbican Lane, Quay Street, Penzance between the junction of Road from Wharf Road to Quay Street to the entrance of Custom House Court.

The prohibition will be completed in phases as per the following:

Phase 1 - Coinagehall Street, Penzance will be in operation between 29th January 2024 to 8th March 2024 and will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included.

Phase 2 - Quay Street, Penzance will be in operation between 26th February 2024 to 31st March 2024 and will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included.

This prohibition is necessary for water connection works and it is expected that the closure will be from 15th January 2024 to 26th January 2024. The County of Cornwall (Fore Street, Turnpike Hill, School Lane, Higher Fore Street and Turnpike Road, Marazion) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 1st January 2024 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Marazion. This prohibition is necessary for overhead cabling works and it is expected that the closure will be from 20th January 2024, for one day.

The prohibition will be completed in phases as per the following:

Phase 1: Fore Street, Marazion between the junction of Leys Lane and Turnpike Hill, Turnpike Road, Marazion between the junction of Higher Fore Street and Trevenner Lane, Turnpike Hill and Higher Fore Street, Marazion for their entire lengths will be in operation on 20th January 2024 between the hours of 0800 and 1800, weekends included.

Phase 2: School Lane, Marazion between the junction of Turnpike Hill and grid reference SW5233930784 on 20th January 2024 between the hours of 0930 and 1530, weekends included.
