What is happening?

EAST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

The East Sussex (U6632 Tanhouse Lane, Peasmarsh) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Tanhouse Lane – from the junction with U6632 Mill Lane to Wintons.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U6632 Tanhouse Lane – U6633 School Lane – A268 Main Street – U6632 Tanhouse Lane and vice versa.

The Order commences 15 January 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 15 January 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U5103 Poppinghole Lane, Robertsbridge) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Poppinghole Lane – from the junction with A21 Johns Cross Road to the junction with B2089 Hooks Beech.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2089 Hooks Beech – B2089 Park Lane – A21(T) and vice versa.

The Order commences 16 January 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 16 January 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U7698 Boreham Lane, Wartling) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Boreham Lane – from the junction with A271 The Strait to the junction with U7111 Jenners Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U7698 Boreham Lane – C17 Wartling Road – A271 The Strait and vice versa.

The Order commences 17 January 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 17 January 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U7112 Wood Lane, Wartling) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Wood Lane – from the junction with C17 Wartling Road to the junction with U7111 Jenners Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U7112 Wood Lane – A271 The Strait – C17 Wartling Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 15 January 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 15 and 16 January 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C307 Crowhurst Road/Catsfield Road, Catsfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Crowhurst Road/Catsfield Road – from the junction with C307 Church Road to the junction with C307 Ballards Hill.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C307 Ballards Hill – C93 Forewood Lane – C93 Telham Lane – A2100 Hastings Road – A2100 Battle Hill – C27 Powdermill Lane – B2204 The Green – C345 Church Road – C307 Church Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 15 January 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 15 January 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6415 Horseshoe Lane, Beckley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Horseshoe Lane – from the junction with B2088 Main Street to the junction with C417 Kings Bank Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2088 Main Street – C417 Kings Bank Lane and vice versa.

The Order commences 3 January 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 3 and 4 January 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6976 Vicarage Lane, Westfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

To allow Blockbusters to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Vicarage Lane – from the junction with U6986 Churchfield to the junction with A28 Church Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U6986 Churchfield – A28 Church Lane and vice versa. The Order commences 2 January 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 2 and 8 January 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C345 Watermill Lane, Bexhill/Catsfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Watermill Lane – from the junction with A2691 Haven Brook Avenue to the junction with U6115 Spratts Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A2691 Haven Brook Avenue – A269 Ninfield Road, Bexhill Road – B2204 Catsfield Road, The Stream, The Green – C345 Church Road, Watermill Lane and vice versa. The Order commences 2 January 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 2 and 4 January 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C17 Wartling Road, Wartling) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Wartling Road – from the junction with U7698 Boreham Lane to the junction with A271 The Strait.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A271 The Strait, Boreham Hill – A269 Standard Hill, High Street, The Green – B2095 Lower Street, Hooe Road, Top Road – A259 Marsh Road – C17 Wartling Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 3 January 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 3 and 8 January 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C213 Ludpit Lane/Willards Hill, Robertsbridge/C18 Brightling Road, Robertsbridge) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;

Temporary Road Closures

Ludpit Lane/Willards Hill – from the junction with C18 Brightling Road to the junction with U6198 Fontridge Lane. Diversion via C18 Brightling Road, Station Road, High Street, Northbridge Street – A21 Silverhill, London Road – A265 Station Road, Haremere Hill, High Street, Oxenbridge Road and vice versa.

Brightling Road – from the junction with C213 Willards Hill to the junction with U6412 Brickyard Lane. Diversion via C18 Brightling Road, Station Road, High Street, Northbridge Street – A21 Silverhill, London Road – A265 Station Road, Haremere Hill, High Street, Straight Mile, Etchingham Road – C212 School Hill, Kings Hill Road, Perrymans Lane – C603 Sheepshaw Lane – C18 Long Reach, The Street, Rectory Hill and vice versa.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with alternative routes for through traffic as set out above.

The Order commences 2 January 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 2 January 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (B2182 Cooden Drive/U6546 South Cliff/U6548 Southcourt Avenue/U6557 Brockley Road/U6740 Pages Road/B2182 Richmond Road, Bexhill) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

To allow SGN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;#

Temporary Road Closures

Cooden Drive – from the junction with U6546 South Cliff to the junction with U6557 Brockley Road. Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 1 January and 1 April 2024 in the following phases:

Phase 1

Closure between Southcourt Avenue & St Augustines Close.

Diversion via U6546 South Cliff – B2182 Richmond Road and vice versa.

Phase 2

Closure between St Augustines Close & Richmond Road. Diversion via U6546 South Cliff – B2182 Richmond Road and vice versa.

Or

Closure between Southcourt Avenue & Richmond Avenue. Diversion via U6547 Richmond Avenue – U6546 South Cliff and vice versa.

Phase 3

Closure between Pages Avenue & Southcourt Avenue. Diversion via U6547 Richmond Avenue – U6546 South Cliff and vice versa.

Closure between Richmond Road & Brockley Road.

Diversion via U6550 Wickham Avenue – U6551 Sackville Road – B2182 West Parade – U6546 South Cliff – U6547 Richmond Avenue and vice versa.

Phase 4

Closure between Southcourt Avenue & Pages Avenue. Diversion via U6546 South Cliff and vice versa.

Phases 5, 6 & 7

Closure between Southcourt Avenue & Richmond Avenue. Diversion via U6547 Richmond Avenue – U6546 South Cliff and vice versa.

South Cliff Avenue – at the junction with B2182 Cooden Drive.

Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 5 February and 22 March 2024

Diversion via U6547 Richmond Avenue – U6546 South Cliff and vice versa.

Southcourt Avenue – at the junction with B2182 Cooden Drive.

Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 8 January and 22 February 2024.

Diversion via U6547 Richmond Avenue – U6546 South Cliff and vice versa.

Brockley Road – at the junction with U6550 Wickham Avenue.

Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 29 January and 26 February 2024. Diversion via U6557 Woodville Road – U6550 Wickham Avenue – U6551 Sackville Road – B2182 West Parade.

Pages Road – at the junction with B2182 Cooden Drive. Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 22 January and 8 March 2024.

Diversion via U6547 Richmond Avenue – U6546 South Cliff and vice versa.

Richmond Road – at the junction with B2182 Cooden Drive.

Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 15 January and 12 February 2024.

Diversion via U6550 Wickham Avenue – U6551 Sackville Road – B2182 West Parade – U6546 South Cliff – U6547 Richmond Avenue and vice versa.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic as set out above.

The Order commences 1 January 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken as set out above depending upon the weather conditions.
