The Isle of Wight Council's Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders (Continued)
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 29 December 2023 and Friday 09 February 2024, the following roads will be closed for both day and night for approximately two weeks during this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable the next planned programme of footway resurfacing works to be completed. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, maintenance, rectification, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and advanced warning signs before the scheme commences:

The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Sandown, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 5 2023
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 1600 hours until 1930 hours on Monday 01 January 2024, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along a) Battery Slipway for its entire length; b) Esplanade between its junctions with Battery Slipway and Esplanade Road; c) Pier Street for its entire length. The closure is required for safety during the New Year's Day Fireworks Event. The diversion will be signposted locally.
