THE M77 TRUNK ROAD (DUMBRECK)

(TEMPORARY 40MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2023

THE SCOTTISH MINISTERS make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 2(1), 4(1) and 14(l)(a) and (4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will have the effect of imposing a temporary 40mph speed restriction on the following lengths of road:

Southbound

1. That length of the M77/A77 Glasgow - Stranraer Trunk Road being the southbound carriageway from a point 300 metres or thereby north from the centre of Nithsdale Road overbridge, Glasgow, to a point 184 metres or thereby south from the centre of Dumbreck Road overbridge, a distance of 1.15 kilometres or thereby.

2. That length of the M77/A77 Glasgow - Stranraer Trunk Road being the southbound off slip road at Junction 1 from the point where it diverges from the M77 southbound carriageway for a distance of 99 metres or thereby.

3. That length of the M77/A77 Glasgow - Stranraer Trunk Road being the southbound on slip road at Junction 1 from a point 41 metres or thereby north from the centre of Dumbreck overbridge to a point where it merges with the M77 southbound carriageway, a distance of 220 metres or thereby.

Northbound

4. That length of the M77/A77 Glasgow - Stranraer Trunk Road being the northbound carriageway from a point 184 metres or thereby south from the centre of Dumbreck Road overbridge, Glasgow, to a point 300 metres or thereby north from the centre of Nithsdale Road overbridge, a distance of 1.15 kilometres or thereby.

5. That length of the M77/A77 Glasgow - Stranraer Trunk Road being the northbound on slip road from a point 47 metres or thereby north from where it diverges from the B768 (Dumbreck Road) to a point where it merges with the M77 northbound carriageway, a distance of 245 metres or thereby. The Order, which is required because works are being proposed to be executed on or near the road will be in operation on 28th December 2023 until 28th April 2024 and will only have effect in relation to such part or parts of the length of road as is indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

The Order does not apply to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations, or vehicles being used in an emergency for coastguard purposes.

THE A725 TRUNK ROAD (CRAIGHEAD)

(TEMPORARY 40MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2023

THE SCOTTISH MINISTERS make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 2(1), 4(1) and 14(l)(a) and (4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will have the effect of imposing a temporary 40mph speed restriction on the following lengths of road:

1. That length of the A725/A726 Shawhead - East Kilbride - Phillipshill Roundabout Trunk Road on the eastbound mainline from a point 62 metres or thereby east from centre of the bridge over the A724, to a point where the extended centreline of the slip road from the B7012 Whistleberry Road to the northbound carriageway of the A725/A726 intersects with the centreline of that carriageway, a distance of 682 metres or thereby.

2. That length of the A725/A726 Shawhead -East Kilbride - Phillipshill Roundabout Trunk Road being the full length of eastbound on slip road, from the point where it diverges from the A724 (Glasgow Road) to a point where it merges with the A725 eastbound mainline, a distance of 180 metres or thereby.

The Order, which is required because works are being proposed to be executed on or near the road will be in operation on 28th December 2023 until 28th April 2024 and will only have effect in relation to such part or parts of the length of road as is indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

The Order does not apply to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations, or vehicles being used in an emergency for coastguard purposes.

THE M8 TRUNK ROAD (JUNCTION 12, RIDDRIE)

(WESTBOUND, EAST OF CARTCRAIC BRIDGE)

(JUNCTION 26, HILLINGTON) (TEMPORARY 40MPH AND 50MPH

SPEED RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2023

THE SCOTTISH MINISTERS make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 2(1), 4(1) and 14(l)(a) and (4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will have the effect of imposing a temporary 40mph and 50mph speed restrictions on the following lengths of road:

40MPH

1. That length of the M8/A8/A8(M) Edinburgh -Greenock Trunk Road from Junction 12 eastbound off slip road from a point 114 metres or thereby east from where it diverges from the M8 mainline to a point 41 metres or thereby west from the centreline of the A80 (Cumbernauld Road) a distance of 122 metres or thereby.

2. That length of the M8/A8/A8(M) Edinburgh -Greenock Trunk Road being the M8 westbound from a point 381 metres or thereby east from the centre of Gartcraig road bridge, to a point 42 metres or thereby west from the centre of Gartcraig road bridge, a distance of 423 metres or thereby.

50MPH

3. That length of the M8/A8/A8(M) Edinburgh -Greenock Trunk Road being the westbound carriageway from the point where it diverges with the M8 Junction 26 westbound off slip, to a point 210 metres or thereby west of the centre of the Hillington Interchange underpass (west side), a distance of 540 metres or thereby.

4. That length of the M8/A8/A8(M) Edinburgh -Greenock Trunk Road being the westbound off slip road at M8 Junction 26 from the point where it diverges from the M8 westbound carriageway for a distance of 95 metres or thereby. The Order, which is required because works are being proposed to be executed on or near the road will be in operation on 28th December 2023 until 28th April 2024 and will only have effect in relation to such part or parts of the length of road as is indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. The Order does not apply to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations, or vehicles being used in an emergency for coastguard purposes.

(TEMPORARY 40MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2023

THE SCOTTISH MINISTERS make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 2(1), 4(1) and 14(l)(a) and (4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will have the effect of imposing a temporary 40mph speed restrictions on the following lengths of road:

1. That length of the M8/A8/A8(M) Edinburgh - Greenock Trunk Road from Junction 15 eastbound off slip road, from the point where it diverges from the M8 eastbound to a point 80 metres or thereby east from the point where it diverges from the M8 eastbound carriageway, a distance of 80 metres or thereby.

2. That length of the M8/A8/A8(M) Edinburgh -Greenock Trunk Road from Junction 15 eastbound off slip road, from the point where it diverges from the M8 eastbound to a point 416 metres or thereby southeast from the point where it diverges from the M8 eastbound carriageway, a distance of 416 metres or thereby.

The Order, which is required because works are being proposed to be executed on or near the road will be in operation on 29th December 2023 until 28th April 2024 and will only have effect in relation to such part or parts of the length of road as is indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. The Order does not apply to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations, or vehicles being used in an emergency for coastguard purposes.
