What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(BEMPTON LANE, BRIDLINGTON (PART))
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the
effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing
any vehicle to proceed along part of Bempton Lane,
Bridlington between it’s junctions with Thorseby Avenue
and Marton Road. The reason for the closure is to
enable the proposed carriageway patching works, to be
carried out and completed in a manner consistent with
ensuring the safety of the public. It is anticipated that
the works will be completed within three days. The
alternative route for traffic affected by the Order is via
Thoresby Avenue, Harewood Avenue and Marton Road.
The road will be open at all times to pedestrians and
for vehicular access to properties directly affected by
the closure and for emergency services.
The Order will commence 3 January 2024 and
continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months
or until the works which it is proposed to carry out
have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
