Oker Road - Temporary Road Closure Extension
What is happening?

OKER ROAD, MATLOCK
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Order made by Derbyshire County Council on 11th February 2021 under Section 14 of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which was to close Oker Road, Matlock has been extended.
The alternative route will be via Oker Road, Eversleigh Rise, Main Road, Old Road, Dale Road South, Bakewell Road, Derwent Way, Cawdor Way, Matlock Spa Road, Snitterton Road and vice versa.
The road will be closed until 1st January 2025 or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner to facilitate the Landslip.
The full duration of this Order will be in excess of the prescribed 18 month limit stipulated under Section 14 of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended). However, as per the exceptions provided in Section 15 of the Act, Derbyshire County Council is satisfied that the scale and significance of these works are such that the execution of them will take longer. In any case, this Order shall be revoked as soon as the works are completed.
