What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WILKINS GREEN LANE/WILKINS GREEN, SMALLFORD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Wilkins Green Lane/Wilkins Green, Smallford from its junction with A1057 Hatfield Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 222m ("the length of Roads"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via A1057 (Hatfield Road/St Albans Road West), Ellenbrook Lane, Wilkins Green Lane and Wilkins Green.

The Order is needed because utility connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 15 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF REDBOURN PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.017) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using Redbourn Public Footpath No.017 from its junction with High Street south westwards to its junction with The Common, a distance of approximately 159m ("the Public Footpath").

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the west side of High Street, the footway situated on the north side of Fish Street and the footway situated on the north and east sides of The Common.

The Order is needed because street lighting works are proposed to be executed near the Public Footpath.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 15 January 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Public Footpath.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A5183 WATLING STREET, PARK STREET/A5183 PARK STREET, ST ALBANS) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A5183 Watling Street, Park Street/A5183 Park Street, St Albans from its junction with Hawfield Gardens south eastwards to its junction with St Stephen Public Footpath No.086, a distance of approximately 138m ("the length of Roads"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via A5183 Watling Street, A414 North Orbital Road, A1081 (London Colney Bypass/Bell Link Overbridge), B556 (Bell Lane/Harper Lane) and A5183 (Watling Street/Radlett Road/Frogmore/Park Street).

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 15 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF COLDHARBOUR LANE, HARPENDEN) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Coldharbour Lane, Harpenden from its junction with Waterside north westwards for a distance of approximately 60m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via Coldharbour Lane, B652 Station Road, B653 Lower Luton Road, Westfield Road and Coldharbour Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 15 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF GRANGE STREET, ST ALBANS) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Grange Street, St Albans from its junction with A1081 St Peters Street north westwards for a distance of approximately 25m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via A1081 St Peters Steet, A4147 Catherine Street, Bernard Street and Grange Street.

The Order is needed because utility repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 16 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS ROADS IN ST ALBANS AND CHISWELL GREEN) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access:-

1. that length of Welclose Street, St Albans from its junction with Fishpool Street north eastwards to its junction with Lower Dagnall Street, a distance of approximately 130m.

An alternative route will be via Fishpool Street, Branch Road, Mount Pleasant and Lower Dagnall Street.

2. that length of Cuckmans Drive, Chiswell Green from its junction with Stanley Avenue north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Hollybush Avenue, a distance of approximately 452m.

An alternative route will be via Stanley Avenue, Hollybush Avenue, Hawthorn Way and Cherry Hill.

3. that length of Warwick Road, St Albans from its junction with Boundary Road north eastwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 17 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FIRBANK ROAD, ST ALBANS) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Firbank Road, St Albans from its junction with Valley Road south westwards to its junction with Beech Road, a distance of approximately 250m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via Valley Road and Beech Road.

The Order is needed because ducting works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 2 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF UPPER LATTIMORE ROAD, ST ALBANS) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Upper Lattimore Road, St Albans from a point 33m north eastwards of its junction with B691 Victoria Street north eastwards for a distance of approximately 20m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Upper Lattimore Road, B691 Victoria Street, Beaconsfield Road, A1057 Hatfield Road and Upper Lattimore Road.

The Order is needed because gas service repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 27 December 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF OAKWOOD ROAD, BRICKET WOOD) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Oakwood Road, Bricket Wood from a point in line with the north western boundary of No.78 Oakwood Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 31m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Oakwood Road, Jordans Way, Ashridge Drive, West Riding and Oakwood Road.

The Order is needed because drainage works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 1 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BATCHWOOD DRIVE, ST ALBANS) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Batchwood Drive, St Albans from its junction with Green Lane south westwards to its junction with Becketts Avenue, a distance of approximately 65m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via Batchwood Drive, A1081 (Harpenden Road/St Peters Street), A4147 (Catherine St/Folly Lane), A5183 Redbourn Road and Batchwood Drive.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 4 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
