What is happening?

BURY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1) THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (BUCKINGHAM DRIVE, BURY) TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along:-Buckingham Drive, Bury - between Bolton Road and Windsor Drive The reason for the proposed order is urgent gas works.

The alternative route will be via Kensington Drive, Windsor Drive and Bolton Road or Newham Drive and Bolton Road and vice versa

The proposed Order will come into operation on 02/01/2024 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 3 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately 2 weeks.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along:-Blackburn Street, Radcliffe - between Railway Street & Dale Street The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate telecoms works Alternative route will be via Pilkington Way & Dale Street

The proposed Order will come into operation on 02/01/2024 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 6 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately 4 weeks.
