Temporary Closure of The Cliffs
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along The Cliffs - from 55 metres east of the junction with Cufic Lane, north eastwards for a total distance of 1963 metres. (as and when signed on site).
This Order will enable Longleat Enterprise to carry out phased works for important Gorge repairs.
The Order becomes effective on 11th January 2024 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 15th January 2024 and last until 9th February 2024 between the hours of 08:30 - 17:30 (Monday - Friday) for a total of 26 days.
