What is happening?

DERBY CITY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS
Derby City Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of
the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of
the roads by traffic.
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON CANAL STREET, DERBY
WHEN: 8 January 2024 to 12 January 2024 WHERE: Canal Street,
at its junction Castleward Boulevard and Park Street REASON:
Highway works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Canal Street – New Street –
John Street – Siddals Road – Railway Terrace – Midland Road – Park
Street. And Canal Street – New Street – John Street – Siddals Road
– Railway Terrace – Midland Road – London Road – Canal Street.
And Canal Street – Castleward Boulevard – Liversage Street –
Siddals Road – Canal Street
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the
affected length of road. The road will be re-opened as soon as the
work is finished. Anyone needing further information should ring
