Limpley Stoke - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?
SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: A) Lower Stoke (Part), Limpley Stoke; from its junction with B3108 to its junction with Cliffe Drive. Phase 1; from its junction with B3108 to its junction with Woods Hill. Phase 2; from its Junction with Woods Hill to outside its property known as The Limpley Stoke Hotel. Phase 3; from its property known as The Limpley Stoke Hotel to its junction with Cliffe Drive. B) Woods Hill, Limpley Stoke; from its junction with Lower Stoke to its junction with Warminster Road to enable Wales & Weste Utilities to carry out gas mains upgrade and associated works. Alternative route A via C221 (unaffected length) – C225 – A36 – B3108 and vice versa. No alternative route is available for closure B. The closures and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 02 January 2024 and the phases will run consecutively and the closures will be required until 31 May 2024. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months.
