MONMOUTHSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION NOTICE

Hysbysiad Notice  Deddf Rheoli Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 – Adran 16A Fel Y'i Diwygiwyd Gan Ddeddf Rheoli Traffig Ffyrdd (Digwyddiadau Arbennig) 1994 Cynghor Sir Fynwy (A466, Cas-Gwent, Sir Fynwy)(Digwyddiadau Arbennig – Digwyddiadau Cwrs Rasio Cas-Gwent 2023/2024) Gorchymyn Rheoli Traffig 2023 Hysbysir drwy hyn, oherwydd bod digwyddiad arbennig yncael ei gynnal, fod Cyngor Sir Fynwy yn bwriadu gwneud y Gorchymyn Dros Dro uchod, at ddiben cynnal digwyddiadarbennig (ar gyfer Sawl Digwyddiad ar Gae Rasio Ceffylau Cas.gwent fel sydd wedi eu rhestru isod). Effaith y Gorchymyn ywgosod y cyfyngiadau dros dro a ganlyn:. (i)  Gwahardd pob cerbyd rhag mynd i mewn neu fynd ar hyd ydarnau o ffyrdd a nodir yn atodlen 1 o’r Hysbysiad hwn aceithrio cerbydau o'r fath sydd yn ymwneud â Digwyddiad arGae Rasio Cas-gwent. The effect of the Order is to impose the following temporary restrictions :- (i)Prohibit all vehicles from entering or proceeding along the lengths of roads specified in schedule 1 in this Notice except such vehicles in relation to the Chepstow Racecourse Event. Such restriction shall also apply in relation to equestrians and to the leading or driving of horses or any other animals.  (ii) No access to the road specified in scheme 1 except for the vehicles related to the Chepstow Racecourse Event together with the emergency services, police, fire brigade, ambulance purposes, and for organisations responsible for dealing with the loss of supplies of gas electricity water or electronic communications, to premises in the area and for the removal of any obstruction in the traffic, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of the Roads.  (iii) The relevant sections of any existing Orders relating to the said lengths of roads are hereby suspended for the period of this Temporary Order insofar as they affect the said lengths of roads and the alternative route, and for the avoidance of doubt this shall prevail for the duration of this Order.  (iv)  to introduce a speed limit reduction to the length of road specified in schedule 3, a reduction of the speed limit from 50mph to 30mph.  (v)  to prohibit all vehicles from turning right from A466 into Chepstow Racecourse Gate 2 as stated in schedule 2 of this notice.  Regulation Act 1984 a person who contravenes a restriction or prohibition imposed under Section 14 of the Act shall be guilty of an offence.  The Order shall come into operation on the 27th December 2023 and will operate at the times specified below for and is also expected to be in operation between the hours and dates shown:  Event Name  Dates                            Times  Welsh National  27th December 2023  07.00 – 22.00 Student Raceday  17th March 2024  07.00 – 22.00 Easter Raceday              1st April 2024  07.00 – 22.00 Grand National Meeting 13th April 2024  07.00 – 22.00 One Night in Nashville  8th June 2024  09:00 – 23:59 Raceday Welsh Rugby Team  12th July 2024  09:00 – 23:59 Raceday Caribbean Night with  26th July 2024  09:00 – 23:59 Bob Marley band Bank Holiday Family       26th August 2024  09:00 – 23:59 Day Circus theme Jumps Weekend             11th October 2024  07:00 – 22:00 Jumps Weekend  12th October 2024  07:00 – 22:00 Christmas Party Race  7th December 2024  07:00 – 22:00 Day  Schedule 1: Temporary Road Closure  A466 (Chepstow to St Arvans) Layby Temporarily close the layby on the A466 Northbound adjacent  to Chepstow Racecourse.
