What is happening?

(Kelvedon Road, Coggeshall) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Kelvedon Road, Coggeshall in the District of Braintree, from its northernmost junction with Scrips Road for a distance of approximately 70m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd January 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03163032455 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while stoptap replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via West Street, Market End, East Street, Colchester Road, Coggeshall Bypass, A120, Broad Green, Coggeshall Road, Marks Tey Roundabout, A120, A12, Prince Of Wales Roundabout, A120 J A12 East Roundabout, London Road, A12, Kelvedon Bypass, Feering Hill and vice versa (with access only into The Gravel, Bridge Street, Kelvedon Road and Station Road). The Order will come into effect on 5th January 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Colne Road, Coggeshall) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of Colne Road, Coggeshall in the District of Braintree, from its junction with St Peters Road to its junction with A120 a distance of approximately 550m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 26th January 2024 for 1 night (20:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2353249 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.An alternative route is available via Colne Road, St Peters Road, East Street, Colchester Road, A120 and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 15th December 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
