(Station Road, White Notley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Station Road, White Notley in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 500m north east of its junction with Vicarage Avenue for a distance of approximately 50 metres in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th January 2024 for 1 night (23:30 - 05:45), or where stated on a valid permit (KL737BRA-21-11-140124 -Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/ or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while circuit controller renewal works are undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.
An alternative route is available via Station Road, The Street, Witham Road, The Green, Notley Road, South Street, Fairfield Road, Victoria Street, Railway Street, Trinovantian Way, Manor Street, Lakes Road, Chapel Hill, Millennium Way, North Roundabout, Cressing Road Roundabout, Cressing Road, Braintree Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 14th December 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Various Roads, Braintree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of 30mph Speed Limit), (Temporary Introduction of Clearway) (Streetworks No.3) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close those lengths of roads in the District of Braintree, as detailed in the Schedule.
2. To temporarily introduce a 30mph speed limit in those lengths of roads as detailed in the Schedule.
3. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on those lengths of roads as specified in the schedule for the duration of the restrictions in order to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
4. "The Essex County Council (Braintree District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works are scheduled to commence on 14th December 2023, as stated on a valid permit. The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.
The restrictions are required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead cabling works are undertaken by Gigaclear Ltd.

Road - Description - Alternative Route
Swan Chase, Hatfield Peverel - From its junction with Swan Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a westerly direction - No diversion available
School Road, Sible Hedingham - From its junction with Church Road for a distance of approximately 315m in a south westerly direction - School Road, Harrow Cross Road, Lamb Lane, Swan Street, Alexandra Road and vice versa.
Alexandra Road, Sible - From its junction with Swan Street to its junction with St Peters View a distance of approximately 375m - Swan Street, Rectory Road, Hedingham Church Street, Alexandra Road and vice versa.
(Walthams Cross, Finchingfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Walthams Cross, Finchingfield in the District of Braintree, from its junctions with Cross Farm Road/ Whinbush Farm Road for a distance of approximately 55m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th January 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03162959330 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while water leak repair works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Whinbush Farm Road, Daw Street, Mill Road, Vicarage Road, Church Hill, The Green, Bardfield Road, Finchingfield Road, Bridge End, Bridge Street, Crown Street, Brook Street and vice versa (with access only into Walthams Cross and Mill Road).
