Mae angen y Gorchymyn oherwydd y tebygolrwydd o berygl i’r cyhoedd ger Canolfan Storey Arms ar gefnffordd yr A470 yn Storey Arms, ger Aberhonddu, Powys.  Effaith y Gorchymyn yw gosod terfyn cyflymder 30 mya rhan-amser dros dro ar ddarn o gefnffordd yr A470 sy’n ymestyn o bwynt 800 metr i’r gogledd o ganolbwynt ei chyffordd â’r A4059 hyd at bwynt 600 metr i’r gorllewin o ganolbwynt ei chyffordd â’r fynedfa orllewinol i Ganolfan Storey Arms. Bydd y cyfyngiad yn weithredol yn ôl yr angen yn ystod digwyddiadau a chyfnodau o niferoedd o ymwelwyr uchel yn y lleoliad hwn.  Daw’r Gorchymyn i rym ar 8 Ionawr 2024. The A470 Trunk Road (Storey Arms, Powys) (Temporary Part-Time 30 Mph Speed Limit) Order 2024 The Welsh Ministers have made an Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which is necessary due to the likelihood of danger to the public near the Storey Arms Centre on the A470 trunk road at Storey Arms, near Brecon, Powys.  The effect of the Order is to temporarily impose a part-time 30 mph speed limit on the length of the A470 trunk road that extends from a point 800 metres north of the centre-point of its junction with the A4059 to a point 600 metres west of the centre-point of its junction with the western access to the Storey Arms Centre. The temporary restriction will operate as and when required during events and periods of high visitor numbers at this location.  The Order comes into force on 8 January 2024. The temporary restriction is expected to operate intermittently from that date for a maximum duration of 18 months. A copy of the Order and Notice can be viewed on the Welsh Government’s website at
